Angel Garza vs Swerve Scott Announced for WarGames 2019 Pre-show
NXT has announced the match for the pre-show for NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2019 between Angel Garza and Isaiah “Swerve” Scott.
This is a change from how things have normally been done for NXT TakeOvers previously where no pre-show matches were generally held. NXT might have wanted to showcase these new talents but did not deem them TakeOver worthy yet. the pre-show will start at 6:30 PM EST and will be hosted by Charly Caruso, Sam Roberts, and Pat McAfee.
Angel Garza was recently defeated by NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush in a title match on 13 November 2019 episode of NXT. However, Garza had his foot on the rope during the pin. On the same show, “Swerve” Scott also defeated Bronson Reed in a singles match.
NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2019 will take place later tonight on 23 November 2019 at Allstate Arena in Chicago. Here’s the updated lineup for the show:
- Men’s WarGames Match – The Undisputed ERA(Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Bobby Fish & Kyle O’ Reilly) vs Tomasso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Dominic Dijakovic + 1 more
- Women’s WarGames Match – Shayna Baszler, Io Shirai, Bianca Belair & Kay Lee Ray vs Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Mia Yim & Dakota Kai
- Finn Balor vs Matt Riddle
- Pete Dunne vs Damien Priest vs Killian Dain – #1 Contender for NXT Championship
- Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs. Angel Garza – Pre-show Match
