Kofi Kingston gets another shot at WWE Championship

Shane McMahon has completed a dire wish of the fans and Kofi Kingston when he announced that Daniel Bryan will have to defend his WWE Championship Title at Fastlane against Kofi Kingston.

Kofi Kingston has become the crowd favorite to become the WWE Champion after he put in the one-hour marathon performance last week at SmackDown in the Gauntlet match. After that, he managed to be in the run for winning the title at Elimination Chamber. Kofi and Bryan traded some nearfalls as the crowd beginning to believe that Kofi is somehow going to win the title. However, in the end, Daniel Bryan managed to pin Kofi to retain his title.

On last night’s Smackdown episode, Xavier Woods and Big E mentioned that this recent surge in popularity for Kofi is not due to his exploits in last one week but due to his hardwork for last 11 years. And Kofi also thanked the fans and his team members for their support. Before the main event 6-man tag team match last night, Daniel Bryan announced that his fastlane opponent is not going to be from the superstars who were in Elimination Chamber match but after Kofi pinned Bryan to win the match, Shane McMahon came out to announce Kofi as the Daniel Bryan’s opponent at Fastlane.

Fastlane will take place on March 10, 2019, at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
