AEW Dynamite Beach Break 2024 Results, July 3, Updates

AEW was back with Beach Break 2024 Dynamite special episode on July 3, 2024. The show aired from Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL, and featured matches from Owen Hart Foundation tournament. Mercedes Mone held her double championship celebration while Will Ospreay defend AEW International title in the main event. Check below for the complete results.
RESULTS & UPDATES
Bryan Danielson defeated PAC in the semifinal of Men’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament. Danielson avoided the Black Arrow and hit Busaika Knee but PAC countered the pin attempt with Brutalizer. Danielson also countered with another pin attempt before putting him into Labell lock. PAC then reversed it into a pin before Danielson got the last say with a pinfall.
Willow Nightingale cut a promo on her semifinal match against Kris Statlander from women’s Owen Hart Cup.
Mark Briscoe was in the ring to cut another one of his hilariously passionate promo. He announced that he was the first member of Team AEW for Blood & Guts match on July 24 Dynamite. Jack Perry attacked him from behind. Kyle O’Reilly attacked Perry who got saved by Kazuchika Okada. The Young Bucks also tried to get into the act but The Acclaimed stopped them.
Renee Paquette interview AEW Women’s Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm with Mariah May stuck to her bosom. Storm hyped up Mariah for her semifinal match in women’s Owen Hart Cup.
Willow Nightingale defeated Kris Statlander in the semifinal of Women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament. Stokeley Hathaway tried to distract Willow. Statlander tried to take advantage but Willow was alert and Statlander almost ran into Stokeley. Willow then got the pinfall with a roll-up.
Britt Baker came out to the ring for a promo where she revealed that she suffered a mini-stroke which was the reason she was sidelined for this long. During the promo, Mercedes Mone arrived to the arena and was greeted by The Young Bucks. The crew started preparing for her championship celebration while Baker was still in the ring. Mercedes made her entrance. The fans switched the chants from “CEO” to “DMD”. Baker said that Mercedes was trying to upstage her moment as she did to Mercedes at Forbidden Door. She challenged Mercedes for a match at All In. Mercedes told her to go to the back of the line. Baker asked what line, Bitch. Mercedes replied that there is a price to pay when you mess with her.
Backstage, Will Ospreay told Don Callis that he did not want to be in the Don Callis Family. Callis said he could leave but he might have to come back to him for a favor. Kyle Fletcher was with Don Callis as he left.
Chris Jericho came out and was upset at Taz for cheering on for his son who hit him with Judas Effect at Forbidden Door to beat him. Jericho had an order from the Young Bucks to remove Taz from the commentary for the next match and took him place instead.
Samoa Joe, HOOK & Katsuyori Shibata defeated Gates of Agony(Brian Cage, Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona) in a tag team match. The victor all took in submission for the win. HOOK put Kaun in Redrum. Shibata locked Cage in a Sleeper. Joe locked Liona in the Coquina Clutch. Liona was the legal one to tap out.
Big Bill and Brian Keith attacked Joe, Hook and Shibata from behind after the match. Keith pummeled Shibata’s arm. It seemed like Keith faked his arm injury. Big Bill hit Samoa Joe with a chair. Jericho hit HOOK with brass knuckles.
Hangman Adam Page was revealed to be the Wild Card in men’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament.
Hangman Adam Page defeated Jeff Jarrett in quarterfinal of the men’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament. Jarrett ducked a Buckshot Lariat and put Page into Boston Crab. Page got to the ropes to break the submission before hitting Buckshot Lariat to get the pinfall.
Backstage, the Learning Tree attacked HOOK once again. Chris Jericho threw a fireball into HOOK’s eyes.
Renee Paquette tries to get Adam Page to do an interview but The Young Bucks interrupted to hype him up. Page told that them he was not their puppet anymore and no longer needed them. The Young Bucks acted like nothing had happened.
Will Ospreay(c) defeated Daniel Garcia in a singles match to retain AEW International Championship. After a fantastic back and forth match between them, MJF tried to hand Garcia his Dynamite Diamond ring, but Garcia refused to use it. He turned around to run into Hidden Blade from Ospreay for the pinfall.
After the match, an emotional Garcia was sitting in the corner. Ospreay gave him some motivational talk before leaving. MJF also talked to him after this and got him to raise his hands. MJF then turned heel once again with a low blow on. He used the ring to open up his head. Matt Menard tried to come for the save but MJF dropped him as well with the ring. Ospreay then ran out to force MJF to get away in the crowd. MJF argued with some fans in the stand and threw garbage at them. Garcia was taken out on a stretcher.
