AEW Confirms Women’s Title, FTR’s Match for Dynamite December 21
AEW has announced a title and a tag team match and match 5 of Best of 7 Series for AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash special on December 21, 2022.
Jamie Hayter will defend the AEW Women’s World Championship for the first time against Hikaru Shida in a singles match. Hayter announced a title shot for the winner of the Hikaru Shida vs The Bunny match last week on Rampage.
Shida won that match to set up the title match. Shida and Hayter had a face-off in Rampage taping this week after Britt Baker vs Skye Blue match.
FTR will have an opportunity to engage The Gunn Club in tag team combat. Following their iconic Double Dog Collar bout with The Briscoes at ROH Final Battle, The Gunn Clubb attacked FTR, which led to this match.
Match 5 of the Best Of Seven series between The Elites and Death Triangle was already announced for Holiday Bash special. This match will now be a No Disqualification match.
In match four, Death Triangle defeated The Elites after Penta struck Nick’s knee with a hammer, and Fenix applies a kneebar to secure a submission. Citing Death Triangle’s continued use of the hammer, Kenny Omega announced that everything will be legal in upcoming matches as they will be No Disqualification contests.
AEW later announced that match 6 will actually be Falls Count Anywhere match while match 7 will be a Ladder match.

- Tag Team match between FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) and The Gunn Club (Austin & Colten Gunn)
- No Disqualification match between The Elites(Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) and Death Triangle(PAC, Rey Fenix, Penta El Zero Miedo)(Match 5 of Best of 7 Series)
