A new bout is reported for UFC 296 PPV event where Alonzo Menifield will face Dustin Jacoby.

According to the report from MMA Fighting’s Damon Martin, Menifield and Jacoby are set to clash in a light heavyweight bout at the UFC’s December 16 event.

Both Menifield and Jacoby are currently ranked in top 15 light heavyweights in UFC. Menifield is ranked at #14 while Jacoby is at #15.

Alonzo Menifield is currently on a three-fight winning streak. In his most recent bout at UFC 290, he secured a victory by submission against Jimmy Crute. Before that, he defeated Misha Cirkunov and Askar Mozharov, further solidifying his winning streak. Menifield’s UFC record currently stands at 7 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw.

Dustin Jacoby’s most recent fight occurred at UFC on ESPN 50 event, where he secured a victory by KO against Kennedy Nzechukwu. This win brought an end to Jacoby’s two-fight losing streak. Prior to facing Nzechukwu, he had suffered defeats at the hands of Azamat Murzakanov and Khalil Rountree Jr.

UFC 296 event is scheduled for December 16, 2023, and will be broadcast live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. A welterweight bout is also set for the event where Randy Brown will face Muslim Salikhov.
