WWE SmackDown October 7, 2022 Preview & Match Card
WWE SmackDown episode of October 7, 2022, will be the go-home edition for Extreme Rules and will also be the season premiere episode of SmackDown on FOX’s new season.
The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will come face-to-face against his Crown Jewel opponent Logan Paul. Solo Sikoa will face Ricochet in a singles match. Roman Reigns & Logan Paul Face-to-Face
The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns will come face-to-face against Logan Paul on WWE TV. Reigns appeared on Logan Paul’s podcast, and when he left, Paul stated that he could beat Roman. This eventually led to a confrontation between Paul Heyman and Logan Paul. After that, Triple H held a press conference where he announced that Roman Reigns vs Logan Paul would main event WWE Crown Jewel. Now, these two will appear in the same ring for the first time after the announcement of this match.
What will The Head of the Table have to say to Paul? Will Paul bring some form of backup against the Bloodline?
Solo Sikoa vs Ricochet
Last week, Solo Sikoa teamed up with Sami Zayn and defeated the team of Ricochet and Madcap Moss. But, it seems like Ricochet is not ready to give up anytime soon as he will face Solo Sikoa in a singles match on the Season Premiere episode of SmackDown. Will Sikoa get another win or will Ricochet finally get the upper hand on the newest Bloodline member?
Sheamus vs Gunther
Sheamus and Gunther had a hard-hitting classic at WWE Clash at the Castle, which can be easily considered WWE’s match of the year. The rivalry did not end there though. Their respective factions, Imperium and The Brawling Brutes continued to feud after that. Now, these two men are ready to run it again as Sheamus will get another chance to be the Grand Slam champion and face Gunther in a singles match.
Also, this match will take place just a day before The Brawling Brutes will face Imperium in an old-fashioned Donnybrook match at WWE Extreme Rules. Who will get an edge going into Extreme Rules?
Extreme Rules Build-up
Three big matches are set up for Extreme Rules PLE event from SmackDown’s side. Drew McIntyre faces Karrion Kross in a strap match. Liv Morgan defends her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey in an Extreme Rules match. Imperium and The Brawling Brutes clash in Donny Brookhouse match.
