WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 Results- Priest vs McIntyre, I Quit Match

Welcome to the live results blog for WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 event which will be WWE’s first PLE airing from Scotland.
Scotland’s own Drew McIntyre will challenge for World Heavyweight Championship against Damain Priest. The Judgment Day is banned from the ringside during this match, but CM Punk is not. Will we see him interfering here? Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles will have a rematch for Undisputed WWE Championship in an “I Quit” match. More local talent will be in action as Piper Niven will challenge for WWE Women’s Champion Bayley.
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair will defend Women’s Tag Team Championship against Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark and Scotland’s Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre in a three-way tag team match. Sami Zayn will face Chad Gable to defend Intercontinental Championship.

RESULTS
- Cody Rhodes(c) defeated AJ Styles in an “I Quit” match to retain Undisputed WWE Championship.
- The Unholy Union(Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) defeated Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill(c) and Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark in a Triple threat tag team match to win WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
- Sami Zayn(c) defeated Chad Gable in a singles match via pinfall to retain WWE Intercontinental Championship.
- Bayley(c) defeated Piper Niven in a singles match via pinfall to retain WWE Women’s Championship.
- Damian Priest(c) defeated Drew McIntyre in a singles match via pinfall to retain World Heavyweight Championship.
LIVE UPDATES
The countdown pre-show is available to watch above which featured Big E and Kevin Owens on the panel along with Michael Cole and Jackie Redmond. The main show opens as we see the arrivals of Cody Rhodes, AJ Styles, Sami Zayn, Bayley, Piper Niven, Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn and Drew McIntyre. McIntyre has voiced the cold open for the show.
Cody Rhodes(c) vs AJ Styles – “I Quit” match for the Undisputed WWE Championship
AJ Styles makes his entrance first. He does not have The Good Brothers accompany him. Cody Rhodes gets serenated as he makes his way out. The referee tells them about the “I Quit” rules. Cody starts with a big right before throwing AJ into the corner for more shots. AJ counters a whip but Cody is quick to jump over him and hits a snap powerslam. AJ counters a disaster kick with an inverted atomic drop. He hits some chops before whipping Cody hard into the corner. Cody hits his signature jabs and bionic elbow. He hits a dropkick to send AJ to the floor.
AJ is the first one to be asked if he wants to quit. He tells the referee to get away. Cody sets up a few tables. Cody sends AJ into the steel steps before throwing him over the barricade into the crowd. Cody dives on AJ off the barricade. They brawl further into the crowd. Cody lands big punches. AJ sends him into the stairs stand before they brawl to the backstage, then to the Gorilla position, and then to the entrance ramp while taking turns to hit big punches. Cody is the one in control as they get back into the ring. Cody puts on a figure four leg lock. AJ refuses to quit though. AJ gets to the ropes and uses them to break the lock.
Cody goes for a suplex but AJ counters it into one of his own and takes both of them to the floor in the process. AJ then quickly dumps Cody on the announce table. He then hits a brainbuster on the announce table. AJ slams Cody’s face into the referee’s mic when he comes to ask Cody if he is quitting. AJ sends Cody into the timekeeper’s area. Cody’s mother is in the front row. AJ gets into an argument with her. Cody is split open after getting cut with the timekeeper’s table. AJ takes Cody back to the ring and shuts down Cody’s attempt for a comeback.
AJ hits a neckbreaker next. Cody hits shots to the midsection. AJ cuts him off the ropes by hitting a dropkick. Cody is down to the floor again. AJ goes for the Styles Clash on the steel steps but Cody counters with a back body drop. Cody gets back into the ring. He starts to land big rights on AJ. AJ replies with quick combo strikes but Cody hits a disaster kick. AJ blocks Crossrhodes with a Pele kick before hitting a DDT. When Cody refuses to quit, AJ fish hooks his face before hitting an elbow to his head. He brings out a chair and sets it up across Cody’s neck before dropping a knee on it. Cody still refuses to quit. AJ brings out a kendo stick next to unleash all over Cody’s body.
AJ whips with a belt on Cody’s back next. AJ puts on STF after this. The crowd gets behind Cody. He starts to fade. AJ lets the lock go when Cody fades out. The referee explains it to him that Cody needs to say “I Quit”. AJ goes and gets a water bottle to throw on Cody. He brings out a set of handcuffs and cuffs Cody’s hands to his back. He unleashes more kendo stick shots on Cody’s back. AJ screams at Cody’s mom that it is her fault that Cody is not quitting. She ends up slapping AJ three times. AJ picks up a chair in frustration. Cody has got his hands in front.
AJ slams the chair on Cody’s back. AJ wraps a chain on his forearm and goes for the Phenomenal Forearm. Cody throws the chair at him on the ropes which leads to AJ falling back through the table. Cody finds the keys to remove handcuffs. He uses the handcuffs to punch AJ before avoiding a corner splash. Cody hits a Cody Cutter. The crowd goes berserk as Cody gets ready. He hits Crossrhodes and then another one. He hits another Crossrhodes on top of a chair. Cody then handcuffs AJ to the ropes and slams a chair on him several times. Cody then slams it on AJ’s knee. AJ tells Cody to get screwed when the referee asks him if he wants to quit. Cody throws a steel chair into the ring. He goes to slam the chair on AJ in the corner but AJ screams, “I Quit”.
Winner – Cody Rhodes
After the bell, Cody looks at his mother who is happy. Cody then goes to slam the step on AJ. He stands up on the step and poses with the title. AJ has busted open. As Cody gets to the stage, Solo Sikoa comes out and stands behind him. Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa run out to attack Cody. Randy Orton and Kevin Owens then run out to help Cody. A brawl breaks out. The Bloodline is forced to run away. KO and Orton stand tall with Cody.
Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill(c) vs The Unholy Union(Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) vs Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark – Three Way match for WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
The Unholy Union are first to enter. Zoey and Shayna enter after this. The champions Bianca and Jade are last to enter. One member of all 3 teams will be in the ring at all time. Bianca , Shayna and Isla start the match. Isla is thrown out. Bianca sends Shayna to the corner to hit shoulder thrusts and some punches from the second rope. Isla comes back but gets dropped quickly by Bianca. Bianca hits a back suplex on Shayna next. She hits a handspring splash on Shayna but Isla breaks the pin. Bianca kicks Isla to the corner. Zoey, Alba and Jade tag in. Zoey and Alba work on Jade in tandem with strikes. They put on wristlocks on Jade on either hands.
Jade is able to power out of them and drops them. She knocks Isla off her corner before throwing Alba there and Zoey to the other corner to hit corner splashes. Jade hits a Samoan drop and fallaway slam on Alba and Zoey. Bianca tags in and double teams with Jade to work on opposite teams. They drop The Unholy Union first before hitting Zoey and Shayna with stereo suplexes. They pose in the ring while their opponents discuss on the floor to team up. Bianca gets beat up by Alba and Zoey. Shayna pulls Jade off the apron before Isla hits her with a Meteora on the floor. Isla and Shayna tag in and work on Bianca.
Zoey then kicks at Isla’s knee. Shayna and Zoey are in control as Zoey hits a springboard senton on Isla before hitting a dropkick on Bianca. Double team work on Isla continues. Isla counters Zoey with a German suplex and a clothesline on Shayna. Alba gets a tag and hits Shayna with a DDT. She uses a low bridge to send Zoey and Shayna to the floor before diving on them from the top rope. Alba works on Shayna back in the ring. Bianca gets thrown out. Shayna sends Isla into the corner after she tags in. Zoey sets up Alba on the top rope. Isla hits a powerbomb on Shayna who hits a superplex on Alba. Bianca hits a superplex on Zoey.
Jade gets back to the apron and gets a tag. She slips off the top rope though. She recovers to hit spinebuster on Shayna, Alba and Isla. She hits a powerbomb on Zoey next. Shayna hits her with a knee to break the pin. Shayna puts on kirafuda clutch on Jade and gets her down to the mat. Bianca hits a 450 splash on Shayna to break the submission. Zoey gets thrown out of the ring. Bianca and Jade hit their DDT into German suplex combo on Shayna. Isla gets into the ring and hits a German suplex on Jade before covering Shayna to get the pinfall. Alba was holding onto Bianca’s ankle from outside to stop her from breaking the pin.

The new champions celebrate with what seems to their friends and family in the front row before hitting back to the ring to pose with the titles.
Sami Zayn(c) vs Chad Gable – WWE Intercontinental Championship
Otis and Maxxine are on the floor as the match starts. They lock up and tussle to the ropes. The referee calls for a break when they get to the corner. They tie up again and clinch to the corner once again. Gable pushes Sami into the corner when the referee calls for the break again. Sami twists his arm but Gable quickly counters it. We see quick exchange of mat wrestling. Sami hits a couple of armdrags but Gable avoids a third one. Sami gets to the ropes quickly to avoid a submission. Gable hits him with a slap to the chest. Sami throws him out. He teases a suicide dive but jumps back off the ropes. Otis and Maxxine check on Gable who fires them some instructions.
Gable runs back when Sami comes to the floor. Sami says something to Otis before getting back into the ring. They trade slaps. Sami hits a side takedown before Gable goes for the ankle lock. Sami grabs the ropes. Gable kicks at Sami’s wrist as he held the ropes. Gable then works on Sami’s arm. Gable hits chops before working on the arm using the ropes. Gable hits a Northern Lights suplex bridge while keeping Sami’s arm tucked behind. Gable locks in Sami’s arm.
Sami sends Gable to the apron but Gable drops the arm on the ropes. Gable then goes to Otis and tells him to focus. He returns to unload on Sami with forearms. Sami hits back from the corner before hitting an elbow from the second rope. Sami slaps Gable several times. He clotheslines Gable to the floor while selling his arm. Sami hits a springboard moonsault on the floor. Back to the ring, Gable counters a dive with a dropkick to get a quick two-count. Gable tries for deadlift German suplex but Sami blocks it and hits a Michinoku Driver to get a two-count.
Gable goes for a STF but has to content with a body slam, which is followed by a diving headbutt quickly to get another two-count. Gable hits a couple of German suplexes. Sami blocks the third one before hitting a couple of suplexes himself. They switch quickly in order to attempt German suplexes before Sami hits a snapdragon suplex. They trade punches as they get up slowly. Gable gets Sami down in a crossface. Sami gets a takedown and puts on crossface on Gable. Gable counters with an ankle lock. Sami struggles for a while before he rolls up Gable to get a two-count. Gable hits several blows to Sami’s face.
Gable goes to the floor and picks up the Intercontinental title belt. He hands it to Maxxine on the floor before setting up Sami on the ropes. Gable distracts the referee. Maxxine teases hitting Sami with the table but does not do it in the end. Gable asks Maxxine to get up on the apron and shouts at him. Sami runs at him with Helluva kick, but Gable sidesteps and Sami somehow stops himself from hitting Maxxine. Gable hits Chaos Theory but Sami kicks out. Gable shouts at Maxxine on the floor. Otis gets in between them.
Sami goes for a dive and catches Otis with it. Gable then hits a moonsault on both Sami and Otis. Sami counters in the ring but Gable blocks the exploder. They get to the floor again. Sami ends up sending Gable into Maxxine. Otis and Gable stare at each other. Gable gets into the ring and distracts the referee so that Otis can hit Sami. But, Maxxine gets Otis’ attention, who decides to pick up Maxxine to get her to the back instead. Sami gets into the ring and hits Gable with Helluva kick to get the pinfall.
Winner – Sami Zayn
Gable is staring down at Otis who walks backstage with Maxxine. Sami gets the title and celebrates on the floor. Gable keeps staring at him in anger.
Bayley(c) vs Piper Niven – WWE Women’s Championship
They take some time to engage as the crowd gets singing. Bayley tries to push Piper back and unloads with punches. Piper shoves her away before hitting a body slam. Bayley rolls to the floor. Chelsea slaps Bayley behind the referee’s break. Bayley hits several more punches but Piper drops her with headbutt. Back to the ring, Bayley is able to hit several more shots to drop Piper to her knees. Chelsea tries to pick Bayley’s ankle but Bayley stomps at her hand. Chelsea complains to the referee about it and gets her hands on his collar.
The referee boots Chelsea to the back. Chelsea goes back unwillingly and screams sorry at Piper. After more shots from Bayley, Piper is able to knock Bayley to the floor before hitting a senton on the floor. Back to the ring, Piper hits another senton. Bayley hits punches to mid section but Piper drops her with another headbutt. Piper hits a corner splash, whips Bayley o the other corner to hit a back elbow. Bayley avoids her in the other corner and slams Piper’s head into turnbuckle a few times. Piper does the same. She hits a suplex after picking him up from the apron.
Piper counters from the corner to hit an Urinage and senton to get a near fall. Piper gets up to the second rope. Bayley gets up there and hits Bayley to Belly suplex. Chelsea Green runs out once again donning the mask and disguising herself as someone else. The referee gets busy in dealing with her and gets late in counting for the pinfall. Bayley hits Chelsea with baseball slide. Piper hits Piper Driver but Bayley kicks out of it.
Piper goes for the Vader bomb but Bayley counters with knees up. Piper rolls to the floor. Bayley charges at her but gets dropped on the floor. Back to the ring, Bayley avoids a running senton. Piper goes for the Piper Driver once again but Bayley counters into a crucifix bomb to get the pinfall.

Damian Priest (c) vs Drew McIntyre – World Heavyweight Championship
A band of bagpipers come out playing and assemble around the ring. Drew McIntyre then makes his way out to get a hero’s welcome. The soundmeter crossed 100 db mark. Drew poses in the corner and takes his sweet time to complete his entrance as the crowd gets behind him. Some boos as Damain Priest comes out.
The atmosphere is electric as they lock up. Drew throws Priest away to break the lock up. Drew hits quick clotheslines before hitting another clotheslines to send Priest to the floor. Drew hits a tope suicida on the floor. Priest rakes his eyes and drives him into the ring post. He takes Drew back into the ring to get some more hits going. Drew hits a big chop and an uppercut. Priest answers with an uppercut of himself. Drew hits a spinebuster to get a two-count.
Priest sends Drew into the corner and hits a back elbow before hitting a falcon arrow to get a two-count. Priest lands more big rights. Drew hits him with a boot before hitting a Michinoku Driver to get a two-count. Priest gets to the floor and Drew slams his face into the announce table before sending him into the Prime Hydration Station. Priest hits a kick to knock Drew to the floor but his leg gets stuck in the ropes when he goes for a suicide dive. Drew has to break Priest free after taking some shots at him.
Drew gets some shots going before Priest finally recovers and runs him over. Drew blocks a chokeslam to send Priest into the corner before hitting a futureshock DDT. Priest hits a boot from the corner. Priest is limping but gets fired up to climb to the second rope. Drew meets him there and attempts White Noise but Priest slips to hit Razor’s Edge. Drew kicks out of the pinfall.
They trade big shots as they start to get up. It turns into a dog fight quickly. Priest lands big rights before hitting kicks to mid sections. Drew hits a Glasgow kiss but Priest lands more kicks. Drew ducks a roundhouse kick and hits a neckbreaker. Drew kips up and gets ready for Claymore by hyping the crowd. But, Priest rolls to the floor. He pulls Drew out but eats a Glasgow kiss. Drew hits Claymore through the barricade. Drew drags Priest back into the ring.
Drew sets up for another Claymore kick but Priest intercepts to hit South of Heaven Chokeslam. Drew kicks out. Priest sets up Drew on the top rope and hits some chest slaps. Drew hits and drops Priest to the floor. Priest hits an avalanche Hurricanrana but Drew quickly replies with a Claymore. Priest kicks out.
Drew hits a belly-to-belly throw. He hits some chops before driving him to the corner. The referee has to dive to the outside to avoid getting slammed. Priest ends up knocking the referee off the apron. Priest hits a powerbomb. Drew hits a Claymore but there is no referee. A referee runs out but he stops the count at two. The referee is CM Punk. Drew gets up but Punk hits him with a low blow. Punk gets out of the ring. Priest hits Drew with South of Heaven Chokeslam and the original referee comes in to count the pinfall.
Winner – Damian Priest
Punk celebrates with some fans in the front row. Priest gets his title and leaves the ring. Drew recovers slowly and continues to stare down Punk. Priest limps to the stage and raises the title to close the show.
