Becky Lynch Announces Pregnancy, Hands Title to Asuka

Becky Lynch has relinquished the WWE RAW Women’s Championship after announcing pregnancy and handed the title to Asuka.

The news came out on Monday afternoon that Becky Lynch is going to make a huge announcement on RAW this week. As the day progressed, the rumor started that the announcement is regarding Becky’s pregnancy and that she will be relinquishing the title.

Becky opened the show last night and came out with the Money in the Bank briefcase that Asuka won on Sunday. Becky started her promo and turned emotional quite soon. She is going out for a while and told WWE officials to raise the stake for Money in the Bank ladder match. After finding that her briefcase is gone, Asuka made her way out angrily to confront Becky.

Becky calmed her down and opened the briefcase which contained RAW Women’s title belt. Becky handed Asuka the title that with MITB briefcase win, she has won the RAW Women’s Championship. An elated Asuka celebrated this unexpected this title win in her eccentric fashion. Becky then told Asuka that she should go and be a warrior while she is gonna go and be a mother.

Becky’s title reign ended at 399 days which is a record for total days being the RAW Women’s Champion, surpassing Alexa Bliss’ record of 397 days. Becky won both RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 35 main event when she defeated Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair. Her last match before this break was against Shayna Baszler whom she defeated at WrestleMania 36 to retain the title.

On the other hand, Asuka has also achieved a significant milestone with this title. She has now become the second WWE Women’s Grand Slam Champion after Bayley, wining the RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and Women’s Tag Team Championship titles.

Soon after the announcement of the pregnancy, many WWE superstars were seen congratulating Becky Lynch at the backstage. Rey Mysterio also extended his wishes to Seth Rollins for fatherhood but Rollins did not respond(kayfabe).
