Report: Germaine de Randamie Returning vs Norma Dumont at UFC Vegas 89
Former UFC Featherweight Women’s Champion Germaine de Randamie is making after more than three years.
According to the report from MMA Reporter Laerte Viana on Instagram, Randamie is set to clash with Norma Dumont in a bantamweight bout at UFC Vegas 89 event. Dumont is currently ranked at #12 in UFC Women’s bantamweight ranking.
Germaine de Randamie is out of action since she pulled out of UFC 268 PPV. She was set to fight Irene Aldana, but the bout was canceled due to Randamie sustaining an injury. Her most recent fight came at UFC Fight Island 4 event in October 2020 where she secured a victory against Julianna Peña through submission.
Norma Dumont was recently scheduled for UFC Vegas 86, where she was set to face Yana Santos. However, the bout was canceled after Santos withdrew from the fight. Dumont is currently on a three-fight winning streak. Before the canceled bout, she secured a victory against Chelsea Chandler at UFC Vegas 77 through a unanimous decision.
UFC Vegas 89 event is scheduled to take place on April 6, 2024, and will be broadcast live from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. A featherweight bout is also set for the event, where Alexander Hernandez will face Damon Jackson.
