According to the report from ESPN Deportes’ Carlos Legaspi, Bahamondes and Giagos are set to clash in a lightweight bout at UFC’s April 6, 2024, event.

Ignacio Bahamondes’ recent fight was at UFC Nashville event, where he was defeated by Ľudovít Klein via unanimous decision. This loss marked the end of Bahamondes’ three-fight winning streak. Bahamondes defeated Trey Ogden at UFC 287 event via unanimous decision. He has previously beaten Rongzhu and Roosevelt Roberts in this streak.
Christos Giagos’s recent fight was at UFC Noche event, where he was defeated by Daniel Zellhuber via submission. Before the fight against Zellhuber, Giagos defeated Ricky Glenn via KO at UFC Vegas 71. As of now Giago’s UFC record stands for 6 wins and 7 losses.
