Roman Reigns WWE Return Update: Crown Jewel 2025 Appearance Likely

Roman Reigns 2025

Roman Reigns’ WWE return appears to be just around the corner. The former Undisputed Champion has not been seen on WWE programming since Clash in Paris on August 31, when he was stretchered out following a brutal attack by The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. That storyline exit allowed him to step away for Hollywood commitments, where he has been filming the live-action Street Fighter movie as Akuma.

Roman Reigns on WWE Crown Jewel 2025 Poster

An update on Reigns’ status came as WWE officially rolled out promotional material for Crown Jewel 2025, scheduled for October 11 at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. The poster, revealed by Triple H on X, prominently features Roman Reigns alongside Cody Rhodes, John Cena, Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley, Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill and Drew McIntyre.

WWE rarely places a star on an event poster unless they are expected to be involved, fueling speculation that Crown Jewel will mark The Tribal Chief’s return to the ring.

Filming Commitments Wrapping Up

According to PW Insider Elite, Reigns’ filming schedule for Street Fighter is set to wrap by September 25. That clears his calendar just in time for WWE to integrate him into the build-up for Crown Jewel. While early reports suggested he might miss up to a month, his availability lines up perfectly with WWE’s fall schedule of major international shows.

Storyline Options for WWE

If WWE pulls the trigger on his return at Crown Jewel, the most natural path would be a revenge storyline against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, who were the men responsible for beating him down in Paris.

Another option could see WWE pivot to set up a major match for Survivor Series: WarGames on November 29 in San Diego, where Reigns is also advertized to appear. This could see him striking another temporary partnership with the likes of CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and The Usos to face The Vision.

Does WWE Need Him at Crown Jewel?

With Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins (Champion vs. Champion) and John Cena’s retirement tour already boosting the Perth card, WWE technically doesn’t need Reigns to deliver a strong event. However, his inclusion would provide a massive star-power boost in the international market and reset his character momentum after a summer away.

Given his position on the promotional material and the timing of his availability, all signs point toward Roman Reigns returning to WWE at Crown Jewel 2025.
