Welcome to the live results blog for AEW Dynamite June 9, 2023 episode which was live from Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, CO, on the road to Forbidden Door 2023 PPV.

2 title matches were set for the show. AEW International Championship saw Orange Cassidy defending the title against Swerve Strickland. Cassidy managed to eliminate Swerve from Blackjack Battle Royal last. Was he able to defend the title here also? Kris Statlander put her TBS Women’s title on the line against Anna Jay AS.

Ricky Starks and Jay White continued their rivarly as they clashed in a rematch. FTR and Juice Robinson were banned from ringside during the match. Did we see another addition to Bullet Club Gold? Or did someone from the OG Bullet Club arrive to help White? Tony Khan was set to announce the first main event of AEW Collision. Additionally, AEW World Champion MJF addressed the fans.

A tornado tag team match was set between JungleHook(Jack Perry & Hook) and La Faccion Ingobernables(Preston Vance & Dralistico). Blackpool Combat Club moved towards AEW Trios titles as they took on CHAOS in a trios match. LIVE UPDATES

Orange Cassidy(c) vs Swerve Strickland – AEW International Championship

Counters from both side and neither man is able to connect with their move. They both get pinfall attempts. Cassidy then attempts to lock octopus stretch. Swerve hits tijeras as he breaks free and then blocks a DDT. Cassidy uses a low bridge to send Swerve to the floor. Swerve sends Cassidy into the barricade before slamming his hand into the ring post a couple of times. Back into the ring, Swerve toys around with Cassidy in the corner.

Swerve gets him up in an electric chair. Cassidy hits a hurricanrana to take Swerve to the floor but he lands on his feet. Cassidy hits a frankensteiner and suicide dive before bringing him back in. They get to the top rope as Swerve goes to block Cassidy. They both drop each other’s face into the turnbuckle at the same time and fall to the floor. We cut to a break.

Cassidy lands several back elbow strikes. Swerve hits back before Cassidy hits a low superkick on his face. Cassidy fails to hit Beach Break before countering to hit stundog millionaire. Swerve goes for a running elbow to the back but Cassidy ducks it. Swerve then hits a leaping flatliner for a close two-count. Cassidy hits lazy chops as he struggles to get back up. He counters to hit a DDT for a close two-count. Cassidy gets to the top when Swerve moves to the apron. Swerve picks him up to hit him with a death valley driver on the apron.

Cassidy hits a couple of big boots, a superkick and a diving DDT off the apron and onto the floor. He hits a diving DDT from the top rope to get a near fall. Swerve ducks Orange punch but Cassidy manages to hit sunset flip powerbomb for a near fall. Prince Nana gets to the apron to distract Cassidy. Cassidy ducks Swerve’s charge and nails him with Orange punch and then hits Beach Break. Cassidy can not cover properly and Swerve is able to kick out.

Swerve rolls to the floor and hits a brainbuster. Back to the ring, Swerve hits a diving double foot stomp for a near fall. Swerve then hits the swerve kick but Cassidy kicks out. Cassidy kicks out of the pin attempt and rolls up Swerve and hangs onto the tights to get the pinfall.

Winner – Orange Cassidy

The Mogul Embassy’s Brian Cage and others attack Cassidy after the match. Lights go off and it remains dark for a while. Sting and Darby are in the ring while The Mogul Embassy is cleared.


Bryan Danielson comes out on the commentary table and we cut to a video package for his match against Kazuchika Okada at Forbidden Door 2023.

Blackpool Combat Club(Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli) vs CHAOS(Trent Barretta, Chuck Taylor & Rocky Romero)

Taylor throws a chair on Moxley at the ringside as Chaos attack BCC before the match. Yuta is hit with a superplex in the ring by Romero. Taylor hits a piledriver as the bell rings, but Claudio kicks out. Claudio tags in and hits some shots on Taylor. BCC go for a double team but Romero gets into the ring to stop that. Baretta pulls Yuta off the apron. Chaos takes down each of BCC member. They triple-team on Moxley to ping-pong him with punches. Yuta grabs Taylor’s leg to distract him and Moxley hits a cutter for a close two-count.

Taylor counters with a knee strike against Yuta and tags in Baretta. Moxley comes in and Baretta hits him with a half-and-half suplex. Moxley hits back with ripcord knee strike. Romero tags in and hits a dive off the top. He hits hurricanrana on both Claudio and Yuta. Baretta comes in and double team on Moxley to get a two-count. Yuta pulls Romero off the apron but Baretta is able to counter Moxley in the ring. Taylor tags in and hits double teams with Baretta to hit Storm Zero. Romero tags in and puts on cross-arm breaker on Moxley.

Claudio pulls Baretta down to the floor and drops him with a big uppercut. Moxley counters and puts Romero in bulldog choke. Yuta blocks Taylor from breaking the submission with hammer elbows. Romero taps out.

Winners – Blackpool Combat Club

After the match, The Young Bucks and Hangman Adam Page appear on the big screen and say BCC are mistaken to believe that they are done after Anarchy in the Arena. They challenge BCC for a trios match without Bryan Danielson. Bryan is still on the commentary and accepts the challenge.


We get a video package for Kenny Omega vs Will Ospreay match at Forbidden Door 2023.

MJF & Cole!

MJF starts by mocking the crowd and calls Colorado the most boring place in the world but has to come due to contract obligation. MJF says he is also bored as there is no competition for him in this company. Adam Cole’s music hits and he comes out. MJF gets his music cut off before he can finish off his boom pose. MJF says he is not gonna lie that he is excited and calls himself a big fan of Cole. MJF says he thought his pro wrestling fandom was over when CM Punk left but then he came across ROH.

MJF says he was about to change the channel again when he came across Cole. He was instantly hooked and when he started training, he got as much tapes of Cole as possible when he started training. MJF puts on Cole’s career in NXT and calls him the greatest champion in NXT and that is “Undisputed.” MJF says he followed Cole’s footsteps to win gold in CZW, worked in indies and then signed in AEW. He was confident that Cole would jump the ship but then, this version of Cole showed up. MJF asks Cole what happened to him as he used to be a playboy but this is a gameboy version of him.

MJF insults Cole some more and refutes the fact that AEW is not showcasing Cole properly. MJF says AEW has gave Cole everything to project him as the star. MJF then says only thing AEW did for him was to ring the bell. MJF recounts his own accomplishments in AEW. MJF says Cole jumped ship because Vince McMahon did not think that Cole is top tier talent, and MJF used to think how Vince did not see it. MJF then says now that Cole is standing face-to-face with him, he also thinks that Cole is not top-class talent.

Cole finally takes the mic and says MJF is just talking like a social media troll and asks him what is his obsession with other people’s relationships. Cole calls him a world class douchebag. Cole says MJF can’t touch him in terms of match quality and world title reigns, and even offers a dope test to see who is genuine and who is not. Cole says there is not a single person who respects MJF, and every one thinks that MJF does bare minimum to hold onto the title.

MJF mocks him with Keith Lee’s manager jibe. Cole quickly retorts by calling him coward and if MJF wanted to prove otherwise, he would have defended the title against him. The crowd gets behind Cole and calls MJF coward. MJF gets agitaged and says he can beat Cole any day of the week. Cole says it sounds like they have a match. Cole leaves and poses on the ramp.


The Hardys and Isiah Kassidy are backstage and Matt introduces Ethan Page as the latest member of their group as he control Page’s contract. Matt says that Page made his life hell when he was under Page, but Matt’s goal is to make Page a good person.

JungleHook(Jack Perry & Hook) vs La Faccion Ingobernables(Preston Vance & Dralistico) – Tornado Tag Team Match

LFI attack Hook and Perry on the ramp before the match. Perry and Hook take over the control as the bell rings. Jose pulls Hook out of the ring and into an attack from Preston Vance. Vance hits Hook with a steel chair. Dralistico hits Perry with a camera cord. Vance and Hook fight into the crowd where hook hits several hammer elbows. Perry is back in control against Dralistico and tries to remove his mask. We cut to a break.

Hook hits a hip toss onto the barricade on Vance. He hits a punch with the chain wrapped around his hands. Vance sends Hook into the barricade a few times. Perry hits a suicide dive to save Hook. Dralistico dives on Perry and everyone is on the floor now. LFI try to double team on Hook but Hook hits an overhead throw on Dralistico. Vance drops him with a discuss lariat. Vance chokes Hook with a chain around his neck.

Vance goes for a powerbomb but Perry nails him with a chair. Hook hits Vance with T-Bone suplex to put him through the table. Perry hits Dralistico with a DDT on a chair but Jose breaks the pin. Hook gets into the ring and puts Jose in ReDrum. Perry puts snear trapp on Dralistico to get the tap out.

Winners – JungleHook

Tony Khan announces that Jay White, Juice Robison & Samoa Joe will take on FTR and CM Punk in the first main event of AEW Collision on June 17.

Konosuke Takeshita vs Damon Ace

Takeshita brings Ace down and hits several punches in succession. He takes Ace into the corner to hit more shots. Takeshita nails him back with an elbow strike. Takeshita hits an elbow shot to the back of his head. Takeshita hits powerdrive knee strike to get the pinfall.

Winner – Konsuke Takeshita

Don Callis tries to speak but he is getting heavily booed. Takeshita speaks something in Japanese before Callis says everything Kenny Omega has is because of him, but Omega has been like a cancer to his body and he has to cut off the cancer.


Luchasaurus is screaming inside Christian Cage’s locker room. Christian talks to Alex Marvez and says Arn Anderson cost him AEW TNT title at Double or Nothing. So, they have to hit back. Luchasaurus comes out of the room. Brock Anderson is down in the ring.

Kris Statlander(c) vs Anna Jay AS – AEW TBS Women’s Championship

Statlander starts with a side headlock takeover. Anna counters with headscissors but Statlander puts on the headlock once again. This struggle continues for a while before Statlander drops him with a waistlock takedown. Anna puts on a chinlock but Statlander hits a side slam. Anna gets to the floor and Matt Menard distracts her. Statlander catches Anna’s kick and trips him on the apron. Statlander runs her over in the ring to get a two-count. Anna ducks the corner splash and hits a spin kick to her back to take us to a break.

Statlander hits a running forearm and a running boot on Anna as we return. She sets up Anna in the corner and gets to the top. Menard distracts her, and Anna throws her down. Anna hits a DDT to get a two-count. Anna goes for queenslayer but Statlander backs her into the corner. Statlander hits a discuss lariat for a two-count. Menard distracts Statlander again which allows Anna to put on Queenslayer. Statlander breaks it and hits a snapmare. She hits a lariat and backbreaker combo. Statlander finishes off with a pinfall after a piledriver.

Winner – Kris Statlander

Taya Valkyrie is watching this match from backstage and is angrier at another win for Statlander.

Ricky Starks vs Jay White

Starks runs at White on the ramp and starts brawling. Starks takes White into the ring and then onto the floor as he keeps control. He hits several chops against the barricade. White rolls out of the floor once again but Starks hits him with a knee strike. Starks keeps control as White looks hurt. Starks breaks the steel steps but White runs up the ramp. Starks catches up but White hits back with shots to midsection. Starks blocks a suplex and hits some shots of his own. Starks looks to throw White off the stage but White blocks it.

Starks throws him down the ramp. White gets into the ring but Starks pulls him out. White nails a back elbow. White puts the steel steps back in place. Starks counters and hits a suplex on the floor. We cut to a break.

White hits some chops as we return from the break. Starks hits back with heavy strikes. White counters a tornado DDT by tripping Starks on the ropes. White hits a superplex to get a two-count. Starks blocks Blade Runner and hits some shots. Starks hits a clothesline, an elbow and a tornado DDT for a close two-count. White blocks Roshambo and hits an Urinagi for a close two-count. They trade chops now. They kicks each other on the knee.

More back and forth before White counters a spear with a knee strike. Starks blocks Blade Runner and hits a spear. Starks hits Roshambo but also clips the referee. The Gunns come in and hit Shatter Machine on Starks. White recovers and hits Blade Runner on Starks and the referee wakes up to count the pinfall.

Winner – Jay White

Juice Robinson comes out to celebrate with White to close the show.
