Josiah Harrell to Debut vs Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 290
Jack Della Maddalena has a new opponent for UFC 290 PPV in UFC debutant Josiah Harrell.
Josiah Harrell has replaced Sean Brady to face Jack Della Maddalena in a welterweight bout on July 8, 2023. UFC Fighter Matt Brown was the first to reveal about Harrell’s involvement at UFC 290. Later, the bout was confirmed by freelance MMA Reporter Cole Shelton.
Sean Brady was hospitalized last week due to an injury and had pulled out of UFC 290. The exact nature of his injury is not disclosed as of now. This is the second fight in a row for Sean Brady to be canceled due to an injury. His bout against Michel Pereira in March was also canceled due to an injury.

Josiah Harrell, an undefeated fighter, is set to make his debut in UFC in his upcoming bout. He recently featured at LFA 160, where he won his fight against Mike Roberts by KO. Harrell’s record in MMA stands at 7-0. Harrell has also had a fight at CFFC 113, but he had mostly fought under Ohio Combat League.
Jack Della Maddalena also comes with a 14-fight winning streak, with four of those victories coming under UFC banner. Maddalena’s recent fight was against Randy Brown at UFC 284 event, where he won by Submission. Prior to this , he had also defeated Pete Rodriguez, Ramazan Emeev, and Danny Roberts in UFC.
UFC 290 event is scheduled for July 8 at Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, featuring the main event between Alexander Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez
