WWE Rumor Roundup- Coronavirus, Demon King, Aleister Black

No More Demon King for Finn Balor

The Demon King gimmick of Finn Balor might not be seen in future in WWE if Sportskeeda’s Tom Colohue is to be believed. Sportskeeda’s report had the below quote from Colohue in regards to Finn Balor:

There are no plans to ever see the Demon King again in the WWE. No plans at all to have it in NXT. Finn Balor doesn’t want the Demon King. He felt it was a bad thing to have on the main roster when he got there. So he is rebuilding himself a little bit. There may be times when he may choose to go back to the Demon King but that’s being left up to him. But at the moment, no plans for Demon King.

Balor has been undefeated in WWE(including NXT) whenever he has come out in The Demon King gimmick. The gimmick was last seen at Super ShowDown 2019 in Saudi Arabia where Balor defeated Andrade to retain WWE Intercontinental Championship.

WWE Coronavirus Cases

Dave Meltzer, on Wrestling Observer Radio, is reporting WWE have had 38 coronavirus cases in their staff and performers. WWE’s first COVID-19 case was reportedly Kayla Braxton who caught the virus when she was out with friends.

Meltzer also noted that WWE did not notify their staff about each case. They were definitely information about Braxton’s case and then just a few more later on.

Why is Aleister Black Turning Heel?

Dave Meltzer confirmed that Aleister Black have turned heel on RAW earlier this week. Meltzer said, “Kevin Owens needs an opponent because originally he was supposed to face Seth, but Rey signed so now Kevin Owens needs an opponent, so Kevin Owens has an opponent, so it just is what it is.”

WWE spent about 8-10 months to establish Aleister Black as a top babyface. But, once again, Vince McMahon does not seem to have much confidence in him as a face character.

Keith Lee New Theme Updates

Keith Lee got his theme music and ring gear changed on his RAW debut this Monday. This received a negative reaction from online fans. Lee himself came out and ask for WWE fans to have some patience. Now, the reason he asked for patience makes the following piece of news.

Keith Lee is reportedly receiving a new theme song. And the new theme might start to be used as soon as this Sunday when Lee will face Randy Orton at WWE Payback PPV. The news is coming from “ArenaTaping” twitter handle who cover wrestling music updates on social media.
