Kofi Kingston-Daniel Bryan WrestleMania 35 Complete Storyline

This is the complete storyline for the Kofi Kingston vs Daniel Bryan Match for WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35.

#1 SmackDown- 12 February 2019: Kofi Kingston replaced an injured Mustafa Ali in the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match at the namesake event. Prior to that, he put in an hour-long marathon performance in the Gauntlet Match.

#2 Elimination Chamber 2019: Kofi Kingston again pushed the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan to the limit and was the last person to get eliminated in the Elimination Chamber Match.

#3 SmackDown- 19 February 2019: Kofi pinned Daniel Bryan in a six men Tag Team Match. Shane McMahon announced that Kofi will get the title shot at Fastlane.

#4 SmackDown- 26 February 2019: A contract signing was arranged between Bryan and Kofi. Before Kofi could sign the contract for the Fastlane match, Vince McMahon came out and replaced him with Kevin Owens. Kofi and Owens teamed up later in the night to beat Bryan and Rowan in a tag team match.

#5 Fastlane 2019: Xavier Woods and Big E put a case for Kofi to put in the WWE Championship match in front of Vince McMahon. Instead, Kofi was demolished by the Bar in a handicapped match. Bryan retained the title against Kevin Owens and Mustafa Ali in a triple-threat match the same night.

#6 SmackDown- 12 March 2019: Kofi asks Vince McMahon what does he need to do to get the title match. McMahon asked him to win the Gauntlet match against the likes of Rowan, Randy Orton, the Bar and Samoa Joe.

#7 SmackDown- 19 March 2019: Kofi wins the Gauntlet match after eliminating each of them but Vince McMahon adds Daniel Bryan to the match. Bryan pins Kofi to deny him the title shot. All throughout the week, the New Day members published videos where they kept saying that they are thinking about leaving WWE.

#8 SmackDown- 26 March 2019: Vince McMahon then put Xavier Woods and Big E in the tag team Gauntlet match. They eliminated Anderson and Gallows, Nakamura and Rusev and the Bar. The Usos forfeited and Daniel Bryan and Rowan got eliminated by count-out. The New Day won the match and Kofi’s WrestleMania match got confirmed.

#9 SmackDown- 2 April 2019: Prior to the episode, Kofi demanded to sign a contract to make the match official. Kofi and Bryan signed the contract while cutting a promo.
