Rafael Fiziev’s 6 fights winning streak was broken in his last fight when he faced Justin Gaethje in the co-main event of UFC 286. This was just the second career loss for Fiziev after losing to Magomed Mustafaev in his UFC debut back in 2019. During his winning streak in between these fights, Fiziev beat the likes of Rafael dos Anjos, Bobby Green and Renato Moicano.
Courtesy of this streak, Fiziev currently sits at #6 in UFC rankings in the lightweight division . Mateusz Gamrot is just a place below him at #7.
Just like Fiziev, Gamrot has also lost just twice in his MMA career so far. And just like Fiziev, his first loss came in his UFC debut, which was against Guram Kutateladze in 2020. After that, he won 4 fights in a row which included a win over Arman Tsarukyan.
Gamrot’s second loss came at the hands of Beniel Dariush at UFC 280. Since then, Gamrot has beaten Jalin Turner at UFC 285 via split decision.
