Israel Adesanya Wants to Headline UFC 300, Will Co-Headline Under Volkanovski

Israel Adesanya has expressed that he would want to headline UFC 300, but would be open to co-headline under Alexander Volkanovski.
During the UFC 293 media day, Adesanya mentioned that he will go to UFC 300 event for sure, but he also mentioned that he is not sure about the UFC 400 event. The UFC 300 event will be taking place sometime in early 2024.
Adesanya also referenced past UFC events, specifically UFC 100, which featured the bout between Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir, and UFC 200, where Miesha Tate faced Amanda Nunes. Adesanya also mentioned that, like UFC 100 and UFC 200 events, UFC 300 will also be a high buy rate event, and he will definitely feature in that event.

Adesanya also expressed that UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski should also have a role in UFC 300. He expressed that he would be okay to co-headline the event if and only if Volkanovski is in the headliner.
Adesanya is set for UFC 293 PPV event, where he will defend his UFC middleweight title against Sean Strickland.
If Adesanya successfully defends his title against Strickland, he might face either Dricus Du Plessis or Jared Cannonier next. Du Plessis is ranked at #1 in the middleweight division while Cannonier is serving as the backup for his title fight against Strickland at UFC 293.
