Report: Israel Adesanya vs Sean Strickland to Headline UFC 293
A new report is suggesting that UFC 293 PPV headliner is set to be between UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland.
Israel Adesanya was earlier supposed to face Dracius Du Plessis in the main event of UFC 293 PPV in Australia. However, Du Plessis cited an injury and was not able to get ready by September 9 to face Adesanyan.
Adesanya then called out Sean Strickland to face him at UFC 293, which is expected to be the direction from UFC. Now, according to the report from Spinnin Backfist, only a few small details are left to be worked out before the fight is announced by UFC.

Israel Adesanya lost UFC Middleweight Championship to Alex Pereira at UFC 281 in November last year, which was his first MMA loss in middleweight division. He beat Pereira in the rematch at UFC 287 PPV to win the title back. He was also awarded the Performance of the Night award for the knockout.
