Hailey Cowan Out of UFC Paris 2023 Event Due to Injury

Hailey Cowan will not be competing in her scheduled bout against Zarah Fairn, which was planned for September 2 at UFC Paris event.

According to BJPENN.com, Hailey Cowan has withdrawn from her fight due to an injury, although the injury has not been disclosed. Cowan and Fairn were booked in a Bantamweight bout.

Due to the withdrawal of Hailey Cowan from the fight, it is currently unclear whether Zarah Fairn will withdraw from the card or if she will get another opponent for the fight.

Hailey Cowan has fought only one match at the UFC, against Jamey-Lyn Horth at the UFC Fight Night event on April 29, 2023, where she lost by Unanimous decision.

This is the third fight for Cowan in UFC to get canceled. She was set to face Tamires Vidal, where Vidal on February 25 Fight Night event, who withdrew from the fight due to medical issues. After Ailin Perez came in as a replacement, Cowan had to withdraw from the fight due to illness.

Zarah Fairn is on a three-fight losing streak. Fairn’s recent loss came against Josiane Nunes at the UFC 283 event, where she lost by unanimous decision.

The UFC Paris event is scheduled for September 2, 2023, at Accor Arena in Paris, France, featuring several French fighters, including a heavyweight bout between Ciryl Gane and Serghei Spivac.
