UFC Vegas 79: Cody Brundage Replaces Robert Bryczek vs Jacob Malkoun
Cody Brundage has reportedly come in to replace Robert Bryczek to face Jacob Malkoun at UFC Vegas 79 event.
This marks the second replacement in this fight lineup. First, Malkoun was scheduled to face Aliaskhab Khizriev, but Khizriev withdrew from the bout. Subsequently, Bryczek stepped in as a replacement, but now he has also withdrawn from the fight.
After Bryczek ’s withdrawal from the fight, Marcel Dorff reported that Brundage will step in to replace Bryczek and will now face Malkoun. The bout will be in the middleweight division.

Cody Brundage is currently on a three-fight losing streak. Brundage’s recent fight was against Sedriques Dumas at UFC on ABC 5 event, where he lost by unanimous decision. Before Dumas, Brundage lost to Rodolfo Vieira and Michał Oleksiejczuk consecutively.
Jacob Malkoun has participated in a total of five fights in the UFC, achieving a record of three wins and two losses. His most recent bout was at UFC Fight Night 212 event in October 2022, where he emerged victorious with a unanimous decision in a match against Nick Maximov.
UFC Vegas 79 is scheduled for September 23 at UFC Apex Center in Las Vegas, NV, featuring a lightweight bout between Rafael Fiziev and Mateusz Gamrot in the main event.
