Report: Grant Dawson vs Bobby Green to Headline UFC Vegas 80
A lightweight bout featuring Grant Dawson against Bobby Green is set to headline UFC Vegas 80 event.
According to the report from Fight Banana’s David Van Auken, rising contender Dawson will clash with veteran Green in a lightweight bout at the UFC’s October 7 event in Vegas.

Grant Dawson is currently on an 11-fight unbeaten streak, including 9 fights in UFC. His most recent victory came against Damir Ismagulov at the UFC Vegas 76 event, where he secured a unanimous decision win. Before Ismagulov’s fight, Dawson also won against Mark Madsen, even though his weight was above the contracted limit for that bout.
Dawson is currently ranked at #10 in a highly competitive lightweight division in UFC Rankings.
In Bobby Green’s last five bouts, he has won two, lost two, and had one bout declared as a no-contest. His most recent fight was against Tony Ferguson at the UFC 291 event, which he won by submission.
Before Ferguson’s fight, Green was involved in a no-contest bout at UFC 222 against Jared Gordon. This no-contest occurred in the first round when both fighters accidentally clashed heads.
UFC Vegas 80 is set to take place on October 7, 2023, at UFC Apex Arena in Las Vegas, NV. A women’s strawweight bout is also set for the event, where Montana De La Rosa will face Stephanie Egger.
