John Cena Set for WWE Return & India’s Superstar Spectacle in Sep
John Cena is set for WWE return and Super Spectacle later this year.
Fox Sports officially announced that John Cena would return to the September 1 episode of SmackDown in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Not only this, but the 16-time World Champion will also travel to India and wrestle at Superstar Spectacle on September 8, 2023.
John Cena also shared a tweet and confirmed that he is excited to be reunited with his SmackDown family and meet the WWE Universe in India and wrestle for the first time in front of an Indian audience.

John Cena’s last WWE match took place at WWE WrestleMania 39 where he lost against Austin Theory. After that, Cena made a surprise appearance at the Money in the Bank 2023 PPV Event in London where he talked about how London should host WrestleMania in future.
However, he was interrupted by Grayson Waller who eventually received an AA to end the segment. It is unlikely that John Cena will wrestle on SmackDown, but it is confirmed that he would put on his wrestling shoes when he stepped inside the squared circle in India. His opponent for the Superstar Spectacle show is yet to be revealed.
It remains to be seen whether John Cena’s WWE run lasts only a week or will the Cenation’s leader continue to make appearances.
