Extreme Resolution Match & More Announced for WWE NXT January 3
WWE NXT has revealed 3 singles matches and a big segment for their first show of 2023 on January 3.
NXT Champion Bron Breakker will appear in The Grayson Waller Effect talk show segment. Grayson Waller is the current #1 contender for NXT Championship after winning the Iron Survivor Challenge match at NXT Deadline.
Waller got better off Breakker in their altercations since becoming the title contender. First, he caught Breakker with a stunner after his successful title defense at NXT Deadline. Later, he countered Breakker’s spear by hiding a steel plate under his shirt. The pair will have a verbal face-off in the ring now.
Carmelo Hayes will take on Apollo Crews in a singles match. Crews called out Hayes for a match. Hayes then countered by saying that Apollo Crews is the only man standing between him and the NXT Championship. The clash was later confirmed for the January 3 episode of NXT.
Another singles match that is set is a showdown between Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey. Gulak showed off his grappling skills this week on NXT. This brought out Dempsey to confront him and challenge him for a match next week which is official now.
Alba Fyre will have another shot at revenge as she takes on Isla Dawn in an Extreme Resolution Match. The match is expected to be a No Disqualification No Holds Barred match with everything legal.
The rivalry between the pair started when Dawn arrived at NXT to cost Fyre NXT Women’s Championship against Mandy Rose. Later, they clashed at NXT Deadline where Dawn survived by using black magic on the referee and then pinned Fyre using her finisher.
