Edge & Phoenix vs Balor & Ripley Set for Elimination Chamber 2023
Beth Phoenix will return to in-ring action at the upcoming Elimination Chamber 2023 PPV event as she will team up with her husband Edge to take on Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley for a mixed tag team match.
On today’s episode of WWE Raw, Edge & Beth Phoenix opened RAW for a promo segment with Judgment Day. After back-and-forth promos, Edge and Pheonix challenged Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley to a mixed tag team match. After taking Ripley’s approval through Dominik, Finn Balor accepted their challenge.
The Judgment also tried to ambush Edge & Phoenix, but the Street Profits came to their aid. It led to Beth hitting Dominik Mysterio with a Glam Slam.
Beth Phoenix’s last appearance was also a mixed tag team match where she teamed up with Edge and defeated The Miz & Maryse at Royal Rumble 2022.
Edge created Judgment Day last year at WrestleMania, and recruited Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley. However, the group turned on Edge the moment Finn Balor agreed to be a part of it. Since then, Edge has been feuding with the faction.
He already faced Finn Balor in an I Quit match at WWE Extreme Rules 2022 which he lost after the Judgment Day attacked Beth Phoenix. Edge and Beth first targeted Judgment Day at Royal Rumble before attacking them once again on RAW last week, and both times, Beth hit Rhea with a spear.
WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 event will take place on February 18, 2023, in Montreal, Canada. Rhea Ripley is later set to challenge Charlotte Flair for SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39.
