UFC on ABC 3 Card, Ortega vs Rodriguez Lineup(July 16, 2022)
UFC on ABC 3 event, aka UFC Long Island, will see Brian Ortega take on Yair Rodriguez to headline the fight card in a top contender featherweight bout on July 16, 2022.
Brian Ortega(15-2-1) is returning to the cage at UFC Long Island for the first time since losing the Featherweight title bout against Alexander Volkanowski in August 2021. That loss was Ortega’s second loss after he was defeated by Max Holloway in 2019. Ortega is currently ranked at #2 in UFC Featherweight rankings.
Yair Rodriguez is also coming off a hard-fought bout against Holloway where he lost via unanimous decision. Rodriguez took a lot of beating in that bout but stood tall for all five rounds. He will also try to bounce back just his second loss of his career and improve on his #3 ranking.
The UFC on ABC 3 card will also feature a rescheduled clash between Meisha Tate and Lauren Murphy as well as the likes of Michelle Waterson, Amanda Lemos, Li Jingliang and Shane Burgos, among others.
