Canelo Alvarez signs a new three-fight deal with PBC, and the first fight will take place in September.

Canelo Alvarez took to his Instagram handle to share a story where the boxer flexes some of his moves before the text appears “Done Deal” followed by the logo of PBC. The video ended with as it showed “See you in September.”

ESPN then reported that Canelo Alvarez would put his Undisputed Super Middleweight titles on the line against WBC Middleweight Champion Jermall Charlo. It was also reported that Alavrez’s new deal is worth over $100 Million.

Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo will likely take place on September 16, 2023, on Mexican Independence Day Weekend. However, it is yet to be announced officially.

Alvarez shifted his focus back to the super middleweight division after he failed to defeat Dmitry Bivol for the light heavyweight title in May 2022. He rebounded from this loss by defeating Gennady Golovkin and John Ryder.

On the other hand, Jermall Charlo is still undefeated in all of his 32 bouts. He was last active in 2021 where he defeated Juan Macias Montiel via unanimous decision win.

Now, it will be quite interesting to see whether Jermall Charlo will be able to continue his undefeated run by beating Canelo Alvarez and become an undisputed champion.
