WWE NXT August 8: Breakker v Wagner, Ali v Axiom, More Announced
WWE has confirmed four matches for the August 8, 2023, episode of NXT, including Bron Breakker vs Von Wagner, Mustafa Ali vs Axiom, and Tyler Bate vs Noam Dar.
We already reported how Rey Mysterio is set to come to NXT next week to be in Dragon Lee’s corner in the match against Dominik Mysterio for NXT North American Championship.
Mustafa Ali will face Axiom in a singles match on August 8 episode of NXT. During the August 1 episode of NXT, Axiom confronted Dominik Mysterio only for Ali to cut him off to start his argument with Dominik. This led to an argument between Ali and Axiom, which resulted in a match being fixed for the next week.

Bron Breakker will face Von Wagner in a one-on-one match on the August 8 episode of NXT. During the July 25 episode of NXT, Breakker speared Wagger after Wagner defeated Javier Bernal. During the August 1 episode of NXT, Breakker appeared in a pre-recorded promo calling Wagner through a video segment, which later resulted in a match for the next week.
Noam Dar will defend the NXT Heritage Cup against Tyler Bate on the August 8 episode of NXT. In recent weeks, Dar has been seen carrying a duplicate trophy around, calling himself the champion. However, Nathan Frazer is the officially recognized champion after he defeated Oro Mensah to win the NXT Heritage Cup trophy. Mensah replaced Dar in the bout because of his injury.
Tyler Bate interrupted Dar’s interview backstage to challenge him for a match. When Dar continued to call himself the Heritage Cup Champion, Bate asked him to defend the title against him.
The August 8 episode of NXT will be live from WWE Performance Center, in Orlando, Florida, US. Below is the complete line-up for the show:
