Rollins vs Lashley vs Theory Announced for WWE Survivor Series 2022
WWE has announced a triple threat match for WWE United States Championship match for Survivor Series WarGames 2022 event.
The champion Seth Rollins will defend the title against Austin Theory and Bobby Lashley this Saturday. The announcement came during this week’s WWE RAW episode where all three of them got involved in a war of words and some brawling.
Seth Rollins joined this week’s RAW via satellite for an interview with the commentary team. Rollins said he has asked for the triple threat match since he wanted to destroy two birds with one stone. He said that one needs to survive against Lashley, and nobody gets back up like him. He then told Theory that he is stupid to attack him last week.
Theory countered with a promo as he continued to show off his more vicious side. Theory then defeated Mustafa Ali in a singles match before Lashley told him to remain in the ring to meet him face-to-face. Lashley came out to the ring for some argument between them, leading to a brawl where Theory managed to counter Lashley to send him into the ring post.
Bobby Lashley was dethroned as United States Champion by Seth Rollins on October 10 edition of WWE RAW after Lesnar attacked Lashley. Lashley then answered to Rollins’ open challenge on November 7 episode of RAW, but they got involved in a ringside brawl and the match never started.
As Lashley left Rollins in a bad state, Theory tried to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Rollins. However, Lashley then attacked Theory, leading to a failed MITB cash in for Theory. Last week, Rollins defended the US title against Finn Balor successfully. Theory, in a new more serious and vicious avatar, attacked Rollins.
WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2022 event will take place on November 26, and will feature a singles match between AJ Styles and Finn Balor, apart from Smackdown Women’s Championship match and two WarGames matches. Keep tuned in for more news and updates from the show.
