Orange Cassidy vs Kip Sabian Set for AEW Battle of The Belts V
The first match for AEW Battle of The Belts V event is now revealed.
AEW All Atlantic Champion Orange Cassidy will defend the title against Kip Sabian. The announcement was made during this week’s AEW Rampage episode.
Kip Sabian is seeking a title shot against Cassidy for a few weeks now. He eliminated Cassidy from Trios Casino Battle Royal last week on Rampage and asked for a title shot on account of this. However, Trent Baretta pointed out that he eliminated Sabian moments later. So, Cassidy gave Baretta, his own stablemate, a title shot.
Cassidy and Barettta clashed in a title match this week on Rampage. Cassidy was able to pin Baretta after hitting Orange Punch and Beach Break after Sabian’s wife distracted Baretta. The ending has definitely stirred the pot and caused some animosity between Cassidy and Best Friends.
Later in the show, Sabian defeated an unannounced enhancement talent. AEW then revealed that Sabian will get a shot at All Atlantic Championship next at Battle of The Belts V event.
