UFC 286: Debutants Sam Patterson & Yanal Ashmoz Set to Clash
Two more debutants are set to clash at UFC 286 card in London, UK, on March 18, 2023.
Britain’s Sam Patterson(10-1-1) will take on Israel’s Yanal Ashmoz(6-0) at UFC 286. The report for the lightweight bout came from Eurosport’s Marcel Dorff.
Sam Patterson was signed by UFC throught Dana White Contender Series in 2022. He defeated Vinicius Cenci via submission(rear naked choke) in the second round. Patterson goes by the nickname “The Future”.
Patterson has been on a 10-fights unbeaten streak after losing in second MMA bout which came under Brave CF where his overall record stands at 5-1-1.
Yanal Ashmoz was signed by UFC at the end of 2022. The undefeated Israeli fighter previously appeared in PFL Challenger Series 2022 where he defeated Dennis Hughes via a unanimous decision.
Known as “Red Fox”, Ashmoz has appeared for CFFC and Ring of Combat prior to this.
UFC 286 is also supposed to be the UFC debuts for Christian Leroy Duncan and Jafel Filho. Chris Duncan was also supposed to debut against Michal Figlak, but Figlak has pulled out of the bout.
UFC 286 is headlined by the trilogy bout between Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman for UFC Welterweight Championship. Justin Gaethje vs Rafeal Fiziev bout will be the co-main event.
