Leon Edwards vs Kamaru Usman Trilogy Offical for UFC 286

The trilogy bout for the UFC welterweight championship between Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman is finally official for UFC 286 PPV event. 

UFC President Dana White has officially confirmed this booking after UFC Fight Night 217 post-event press conference.

Kamaru Usman vs Leon Edwards III will main event UFC 286, which will take place at the O2 Arena in London on March 18, 2023. 

Kamaru Usman defeated Leon Edwards in his inaugural UFC match. Then, Leon Edwards snapped Usman’s fourteen-fight winning streak in the main event of UFC 278. He also received the knockout of the year for his fifth-round head kick. 

On the other hand, Leon Edwards has been undefeated after losing against Kamaru Usman back in 2015. He hasn’t lost a match since then. He finally took his revenge at UFC 278 and became the new welterweight champion. 

Now, Leon’s first title defense will come on his home soil against his most formidable adversary later this year in March. Now, it remains to be seen whether Kamaru Usman will regain his welterweight title or will Leon Edwards be successful in his first title defense.
