Justin Tafa vs Austen Lane Rematch Set for UFC 293 in September
Justin Tafa vs Austen Lane rematch is reported to take place in Tafa’s backyard at UFC 293 PPV event.
According to the report by Logan Offord of MMA Orbit, Tafa and Lane will clash in a heavyweight bout on September 9 at UFC 293 event.
The fighters were scheduled to face each other twice, but neither match reached a conclusive outcome. The first fight was planned for the UFC 284 event in Perth, Australia, but Lane withdrew from the bout. The second time was at UFC on ABC 5 event, where the match was announced as a no-contest because of an unintentional eye poke in round one.

Justin Tafa has won three fights and lost two in his five bouts prior to no-contest against Lane. Tafa fought Parker Porter at the UFC 284 event after Porter replaced Lane itself in that fight. Tafa won that fight via knockout. Before that, he was inactive for more than a year due to injury.
Austen Lane is on a six-fight winning streak excluding the no-contest. He was signed by UFC after beating Richard Jacobi via KO in Dana White Contender Series 2022 bout. Prior to UFC, he had appearances in Fury FC, Combate, and LFA.
UFC 293 event is scheduled for September 9 in Sydney, Australia. Tai Tuivasa is expected to fight Alexander Volkov on card. Kai Kara-France vs Manel Kape was also rebooked for the show.
