WWE SummerSlam: Ciampa, Nakamura & More Added to Battle Royal

More names are announced for the Battle Royal match at WWE SummerSlam 2023 event.

Tommaso Ciampa and Shinsuke Nakamura faced each other in a singles match on RAW this week(July 31). However, they were involved in a backstage segment prior to that where Ciampa told Nakamura how he advised him not to get involved in his business.

Ciampa then went on to claim that he would beat Nakamura in their match on RAW, and then, would go on to win the Battle Royal. Nakamura also claimed to win both matches in his reply to Ciampa.

Also on RAW, Chad Gable was talking to his teammate Otis backstage where he revealed that one member of Alpha Academy would be taking part in the Battle Royal.

The Battle Royal was announced during Smackdown last week, and LA Knight and Sheamus were announced as the first two members in the match. The rest of the field will be revealed by SmackDown August 4 episode. The current line-up is as follows:

• Tommaso Ciampa
• Chad Gable/Otis
• Shinsuke Nakamura
• LA Knight
• Sheamus

WWE SummerSlam 2023 is set to take place on August 5 in Detroit. A total of 8 matches are announced for the show with 4 of them being title matches, and an MMA Rules match between Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey.
