Will we find Roman Reigns’s next challenger? Check below for a preview and match card for WWE SmackDown January 6, 2023 episode.

Tag Team Championship Match

Drew McIntyre and Sheamus gets another chance for revenge against The Bloodline as they challenge The Usos for Unified WWE Tag Team Championship. This match was due to take place last month, but McIntyre could not recover from his injury in time and was replaced by Butch. Sheamus & Butch lost that match after distraction from outside. Will McIntyre and Sheamus have a strategy to counter outside interference? Or does The Bloodline have some other plan?

Royal Rumble Qualifier

Top Dolla could not handle mocking when Ricochet, along with many others, was taking shots at his botched suicide dive last month on SmackDown. He then challenged Ricochet to a match to show him what he can do in the ring. The match is announced to be a qualifier for Royal Rumble match. Who advances from here? And will we see more qualifiers for Royal Rumble?

The Queen’s Reign Starts!

Charlotte Flair made a surprise return last week and dethroned Ronda Rousey as SmackDown Women’s Champion. What awaits her in what is her 14th World title reign? Surely, Ronda would like a rematch. Will that match take place at Royal Rumble? Or will someone else step up to Charlotte?

What Else to Expect?

Uncle Howdy dropped Bray Wyatt last week on SmackDown. Will we know more about him this week? How will this attack change Wyatt with his match against LA Knight in waiting?

Braun Strowman is getting his wish as he faces Gunther next week for Intercontinental Championship. Will Gunther try something to go into that bout with an edge?
