WWE RAW was live on March 6, 2023, from TD Garden Arena in Boston, MA, and featured the return of hometown hero John Cena on the road to WrestleMania 39.

WWE United States Champion Austin Theory was waiting for John Cena to welcome him back to the red brand. Another pair of prospective WrestleMania opponents in Logan Paul and Seth Rollins came face-to-face on this episode of WWE RAW.

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens continued on their separate paths as they feud with The Bloodline. Owens faced Solo Sikoa in a singles match while Sami took on Jimmy Uso. Roman Reigns has told Jimmy to finish Sami, which he failed to do at Smackdown. He got another chance on RAW to achieve that task. Was he successful?

Bianca Belair got some ring work by facing Carmella at WWE RAW March 6 edition as she prepared to face Asuka at The Showcase of Immortals. After their storied rivalry in NXT, Johnny Gargano and Finn Balor clashed on RAW for the first time.

We also heard from Bobby Lashley, MVP, Becky Lynch, Lita and Trish Stratus as things got heated up with just 4 weeks to go to WrestleMania. Check below for results from WWE Monday Night RAW March 6, 2023 with live updates, winners, highlights and complete action.

WWE RAW MARCH 6, 2023 RESULTS

  • Kevin Owens defeated Solo Sikoa in a singles match via disqualification.
  • Bianca Belair defeated Carmella in a singles match via pinfall.
  • Omos defeated Dolph Ziggler in a singles match via pinfall.
  • Johnny Gargano defeated Finn Balor in a singles match via pinfall.
  • Piper Niven defeated Nikki Cross in a singles match via pinfall.
  • Chad Gable defeated Baron Corbin in a singles match via submission.
  • Sami Zayn defeated Jimmy Uso in a singles match via pinfall.

LIVE UPDATES

The show opens with a backstage segment between Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa earlier today. Heyman tells Jimmy how Roman instructed Jimmy about solving Sami Zayn problem but he is here tonight. So, Jimmy should go on and solve the Sami Zayn problem while Solo goes and solve the Kevin Owens problem.

Kevin Owens vs Solo Sikoa

KO comes out first. Solo’s entrance follows. KO attacks him on the ramp and they brawl for a while. Solo throws KO into the ring to start the match. KO hits a clothesline before Solo hits a back elbow to take over control. Solo keeps KO near the ropes as he unloads with more shots. KO tries to fight back but Solo hits him with a leg lariat. Solo hits more punches and kicks.

A big uppercut from Solo drops KO when he is trying to fight back. Solo is still in control. KO tries to hang onto the ropes but Solo kick at his midsection. KO starts to fight from the corner. Solo hits a knee strike that catches KO in the groin. He hits a diving headbutt next. Solo puts on a chin lock and KO gets back to his feet to hit a series of strikes to finally drop Solo.

Owens sets up Solo in the corner for a cannonball but Solo slips to the floor. Owens hits him with a clothesline instead on the floor. Owens goes to the top when Jimmy runs out to cause a distraction. Solo manages to throw KO off the top rope. Solo hits a hip attack in the corner now. KO slips to the floor and Solo hits him with another hip attack against the barricade. We cut to a break.

Solo hits headbutts on Owens in the corner. Solo sets up Owens at the top but KO fights to drop Solo back to the floor. Solo hits a Samoan Drop when KO charges at him. Solo misses a corner splash. KO quickly follows up with a DDT. Jimmy is still at ringside. Owens fires some elbow shots. Solo misses a corner tackle. Solo whips KO in Jimmy, who eats a forearm from KO.

KO hits a superkick on KO, a cannonball in the corner and a Swanton bomb. Jimmy gets into the ring to cause a disqualification.

Winner – Kevin Owens

Jimmy and Solo beat up Owens after the match and sets him up on the announce table. Sami Zayn runs out and attacks Jimmy. He gets a chair and forces Solo to back off. Jimmy also runs into the crowd. Owens is sitting in one corner of the ring. Sami gets in and puts out his hand. Owens takes a good look at him but exits the ring.


We see a recap of Bobby Lashley going to SmackDown and calling out Bray Wyatt. Uncle Howdy came instead and Lashley was able to drop him. We now hear from Lashley who says he went to SmackDown to face Bray face-to-face. He thought coming to his home would enrage Bray enough but he sent a masked man to do his bidding. Lashley asks Bray what will it take for him to come face him like a man.


Camella is interviewed backstage. She says Adam Pearce gave her a match against Bianca Beliar just to get her out of his hair. But he did not realize she could just humiliate the champion just days before WrestleMania. Carmella wants the match to be turned into a #1 contender match now. Adam Pearce is behind her when Chelsea Green comes to Carmella. Chelsea says if Carmella beats Bianca tonight, she can go above to Pearce’s manager and get the WrestleMania match changed. Carmella asks Chelsea to be in her corner.

Bianca Belair vs Carmella

Chelsea Green comes out with Carmella for the match. Bianca starts with a side headlock takedown after they lock up. Another headlock takedown from Bianca. Carmella blocks it the third time but Bianca hits her with a tackle instead. Carmella pulls the ropes to send Bianca to the floor. She kicks Bianca into the announce table. She runs back to the ring and catches Bianca with a kick on her way back.

Bianca lands on the turnbuckle when Carmella whips her to the corner. Bianca leapfrogs over her and hits a dropkick. Carmella hits a kick at her leg to trip her off the second rope. We cut to a break with Carmella in control.

Carmella has a chinlock on Bianca. Bianca gets to her feet but Carmella pulls her by her braid. Carmella goes for a crossbody off the top but Bianca catches her and rolls her over. Bianca blocks a hurricanrana and hits a backbreaker. Bianca hits a handspring splash, but the referee was distracted by Chelsea. Bianca pulls Chelsea into the ring and Carmella catches Bianca with a superkick in process.

Bianca takes Carmella to the corner now and unloads with big punches. Chelsea gets back into the ring again. Bianca throws her out of the ring and then into the timekeeper’s area. Carmella rolls up Bianca and tries to use the ropes for leverage, but Bianca kicks out. Bianca hits KOD on Carmella to get the pinfall.

Winner – Bianca Belair

After the match, Chelsea attacks Bianca and beats her down with Carmella. Asuka runs out and spits Green mist on Chelsea. Chelsea and Carmella run off the ring. Asuka stares down at Bianca in the corner before they both stare at the WrestleMania sign.


Sami Zayn goes to Kevin Owens backstage. He says The Bloodline is too much for either to tackle alone. They do not need to be best friends again but they need to work together to take The Bloodline down. Sami says he knows this because he was in the Bloodline. Owens says he knows Sami took his place in Bloodline in this arena at his expense. He knows he can’t handle Bloodline on his own but he does not want to do it with Sami. Owens asks Sami to leave him alone. Sami goes away.


We get a video package highlighting Rhea Ripley, including her marathon run in Royal Rumble match this year.

Miz TV with Seth Rollins & Logan Paul

We are reminded once again how he is the host of WrestleMania. Miz says he is going to moderate this face-to-face between Rollins and Logan in preparation of his hosting duties at WrestleMania and he try to do an unbiased job here as it is what a good host does. Miz brings out the social media star Logan Paul. Logan comes out and ignores Miz’s handshake. Seth Rollins’ music hits and he makes his way out as the crowd sings his song.

Miz asks them to stop when Rollins gets into the ring. The crowd gets louder. Miz gets frustrated and starts to scream. Rollins shuts out his mic and keeps the singing going. Logan tells that this segment got a time limit so they should shut their mouth. The crowd continues until Rollins gets on the mic. Rollins mocks Logan for being dragged out here on RAW. “Logan sucks” chants from the crowd.

Rollins says they have not been formally introduced so far despite their run-ins in the last couple of months. He says he is Seth Freakin’ Rollins. Logan says he knows who he is. He is the guy he dumped out of Royal Rumble and stomped his head at Elimination Chamber. Logan continues to run his mouth and says if he was Rollins, he would not have liked himself. Miz says Logan makes a few good points.

Rollins says Logan does make a few good points. But, he is missing that not one of it is the reason why we don’t like Logan. The reason is that Logan is a scumbag, a troll, a dumpster fire and we don’t want him in our house. Rollins says he has not come here to talk but to get his share of flesh, he is here to fight.

Miz stops them and says it’s his job to stop them from fighting tonight. Logan tells Miz not to put words in his mouth, and he will do whatever he wants. But, he does not want to fight tonight in Boston and he is a prizefighter. If the stage was bigger, and the money is bigger he could consider it. Miz interrupts and says he can make the fight for WrestleMania as he is the host.

Rollins asks Miz if he can go backstage and pull the string to make this match. Miz says yes, he can. Rollins asks him why he was waiting and throws him out of the ring. Logan hits a low blow on Rollins but misses the curb stomp. Rollins tackles him to the corner. Miz comes in and attacks Rollins from behind. Rollins kicks Miz out of the ring but gets caught by Logan with one big punch. Logan talks more trash before leaving.

Omos vs Dolph Ziggler

Mustafa is in the front row for the match with “Go Dolph, Go” sign. We see an earlier encounter between Ali and Ziggler where Ali tells him that he got him the match against Omos. The bell rings and Ziggler avoids a corner splash. He tries to take Omos down but fails due to his size. Ziggler takes him to the corner but Omos catches him with a big boot. He hits a double-handed chokeslam and gets the pinfall.

Winner – Omos

After the match, MVP takes the mic and addresses Brock Lesnar. MVP says Lesnar wanted him to hype the match, and this is all the hype he needs. He adds that Lesnar will not tame 416 pounds, 7’3″ Omos.


Maximum Male Models are backstage and are impressed by someone’s physique. Baron Corbin walks in and thanks them for the compliment after his bad streak. MMM are disgusted by Corbin thinking that they are complimenting him and say the compliments were for Otis. Maxxine tells Corbin that she would consider taking him as a client if he takes care of Gable.


Paul Heyman is with Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa backstage. Heyman motivates Jimmy saying that he is the person who will take care of Sami and make sure The Tribal Chief never hear that name again. He also tells Jimmy that if Jey Uso is not back into the Bloodline by the end of the week, The Tribal Cheif will not blame anyone else but Jimmy.

Johnny Gargano vs Finn Balor

Balor hits a knee to midsection. He follows up with a big shot to the back and a shoulder tackle. Balor works on Gargano on the ropes. He puts on an armbar now. The whole Judgment Day is in Balor’s corner while Dexter Lumis is in Gargano’s. Gargano hits a deep arm drag and puts on the armbar himself. Balor turns it around but Gargano hits him with an enzuigiri. Balor sends him to the corner and whips him hard. Gargano hits a boot and a dropkick to send Balor to the floor. Balor gets spooked by Lumis on the floor. Gargano wipes him out with a suicide dive to take us to a break.

Balor is in control as we return. Gargano hits an upkick. He hits a flying clothesline and a crossbody. An enzuigiri sends Balor to the floor. He returns to the ring quickly and Gargano hits a slingshot spear. Double knees in the corner from Gargano before Balor hits a slingblade. A couple of superkicks from Gargano to get a two-count. Balor hits an inverted DDT next. Gargano gets him in a backslide for a two-count.

Rhea gets to the apron for distraction. Gargano hits a senton on Dominik on the floor. Balor hits a shotgun dropkick on Gargano when he returns to the ring. Edge’s music hits as Balor goes to the top. Priest and Rhea go towards the stage but Edge comes through the crowd and pushes Balor to the mat. Gargano htis One Final Beat to get the pinfall.

Winner – Johnny Gargano

Dexter Lumis drops Priest on the floor as he is going toward Edge. Edge hits a spear on Balor after the match. Edge runs out through the crowd once again.


We get a recap of the segment between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes from SmackDown last week.


After the break, Byrson Saxton interviews Edge. Edge says Balor cost him a match two weeks back and he cost Balor a match tonight. Now, he wants Balor to meet him face-to-face next week to settle it once and for all.

Nikki Cross vs Piper Niven

Nikki catches Piper on the ropes and tries to choke her. Piper gets into the ring and Nikki jumps on her back again and try to choke her. Piper throws her away and asks the referee to start the match. Nikki hits a crossbody from the top. Nikki hits some kicks in succession. She goes to the ropes and Piper counters with a tilt-a-whirl Urinage to get the pinfall.

Winner – Piper Niven

Rick Boogs is backstage talking about he could lift a trailer. Elias comes in and Boogs panics about not having his notes with him. Elias tells him that Boogs will only learn by going out in the ring and doing it himself. He tells Rick to go up to Bronson Reed and challenge him to a fight. Bronson walks in and tells Elias if he wants to fight, he will fight him next week. Elias is confused over what happened. Boogs says he told Reed that he wants to fight him. Elias is frustrated as we cut to a break.

The Champ is Here

John Cena makes his entrance to the ring. He takes the mic but before he can say anything, Austin Theory’s music hits and he comes out. Loud chants for Cena as Austin gets into the ring. Austin says he got all the respect for Cena and became a WWE Superstar only because of Cena. He has come out here with a gift to Cena. This gift is from the bottom of his heart and will be bigger than any of his movie roles.

That gift is Austin Theory vs John Cena for United States Championship at WrestleMania 39. Cena says, “No”. This drew some mixed reactions from the crowd. Cena says he is not interested in his gift because Theory has not earned the right to give it yet. Cena says he is watching Theory for a while now and he, along wiWWE th the fans, do not believe Theory. Theory is just a generic kid with goggles on.

Cena says he has gone through the same phase when he believed in Ruthless Aggression, which almost got him fired. Cena continues to explain it to Theory how he turned it around and Theory should believe in himself. Cena says Austin Theory has the best name in the business because that is all he is – a Theory. Despite being athletic, good-looking, a good talker, hard-working and charismatic.

In theory, fans should be clamoring for him but the fans still do not care. So, on behalf of all the fans, Cena is telling Theory to turn around and walk away to leave this arena in one piece. Theory teases leaving the ring but turns around and says he is not going anywhere like Cena’s bald spot. He references Cena’s shirt with “Never Give Up” written on it. So, he is not giving up. Theory then references “Respect” being written on Cena’s cap.

Theory asks where is Cena’s respect for the crowd when he denies a match at WrestleMania. Cena says he did not deny the match out of disrespect but for Theory’s own sake. Cena says if Theory loses to Cena at WrestleMania, he will lose everything. But even if he wins against him, he still loses everything. Cena then asks the crowd if they want him to face Theory at WrestleMania. He gets a big roar from the crowd.

Cena announces his match against Theory at WrestleMania, but tells Theory that he is not ready for it in his mind, heart, or gut. Cena leaves to the stage and poses. Before going away, he says while Theory is not ready for WrestleMania in any shape or form, he wants to introduce someone who is. Cena introduces The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes. Cody comes out to the stage and hugs Cena. They embrace and talk to each other for a while.


Sami Zayn is interviewed backstage now. He says Owens is right on his part but things have changed. Sami talks about Jimmy trying to end him tonight, but he assures us that he is not going anywhere until he sees the fall of Roman Reigns.

Baron Corbin vs Chad Gable

Corbin throws Gable to the corner and hits a clothesline. Corbin throws him across the ring and continues to beat him up. He jumps on Gable near the ropes. Corbin puts him in a back rack. Gable lands on his feet and starts to fight back. Gable hits quick uppercuts next before hitting a rolling German suplex for a two-count. Corbin counters with a chokeslam backbreaker. Gable counters and puts Corbin in an ankle lock. Corbin submits quickly.

Winner – Chad Gable

Trios Challenge for Damage CTRL

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Becky Lynch and Lita come out to the ring. They talk about their win last week. Lita then says they have not thanked the neutralizer last week in Trish Stratus. Trish makes her way out to the ring. Trish says she always has Lita’s back and she would not have missed Lita teaming up with The Man Becky Lynch. Trish also mentions how she told Bayley if she did not shut her mouth…

Bayley’s music hits and Damage CTRL trio comes out to the ring. Bayley rants of retired wrestlers coming back again and again. Trish says she told her to shut up or else she would come out of retirement. Trish challenges Damage CTRL for a trios match. Bayley accepts immediately. Kai and Sky are shocked at it. But, they turned around to attack their opponents only to be dealt with easily. Bayley is caught alone in between the trio who take their shots at Bayley. Bayley slips to the floor and runs away.

Sami Zayn vs Jimmy Uso

Sami starts with a takedown and unloads with punches. Jimmy rolls to the floor and catches Sami with an uppercut. Jimmy whips Sami towards the barricade but Sami sends him into the timekeeper’s area with a back body drop. We cut to a break.

Jimmy is in control as we return. Sami is fighting back with punches. He hits rapid fire kicks before hitting a tornado DDT for a two-count. Sami goes to the top now and hits a crossbody for another two-count. Jimmy blocks the blue thunderbomb and nails a bib uppercut. Jimmy throws Sami to the floor. The referee see Solo moving to hit Samoan Spike on Sami and boots him out. Jimmy argues with the referee and Sami hits him with a blue thunderbomb to get a near fall. We cut to another break.

Sami and Jimmy are on the top. Sami throws Jimmy back to the mat. Jimmy catches him with a superkick as Sami jumps from the top. Jey Uso runs through the crowd. He gets on the announce table now and hypes his brother. Jimmy ducks a Helluva kick. Sami counters a Samoan Drop and rolls up Jimmy to get the pinfall.

Winner – Sami Zayn

Jimmy is distraught after losing. Sami rolls to the floor now as he recovers. Jey gets into the ring slowly and stands in front of Jimmy. He grabs Jimmy shirt and they look at each other with a lot of emotions. Jey then moves to the floor and stands in front of Sami. He goes on and hugs Sami. Sami is pumped while Jimmy is down on his knees in disappointment. Sami and Jey throw their hands in the air as the one.

Jey then nails Sami with a superkick. Jimmy has a smirk on his face now. Jey takes Sami back into the ring and starts beating him up. Solo Sikoa also comes out and joins the beatdown. Cody Rhodes runs out and The Bloodline back away from Sami. The show goes off the air as Cody checks on Sami.
