WWE has finally confirmed the earlier rumored NXT TakeOver show for 4 October 2020.
WWE announced the date and timings for the next NXT TakeOver event earlier today. The location was not announced but the show will likely air from NXT’s base in Full Sail University. The name or tag line is also not announced as of yet.
NXT Head and WWE’s Executive Vice President of Global Talent- Triple H also tweeted the announcement with the information that the build for the show will begin from tonight’s NXT episode on the USA Network.
NXT TakeOver Events in 2020
Earlier, PWInsider revealed that WWE is looking to air two more NXT TakeOver events for this year. First was the now announced 4 October event and the second one will likely air on 6 December 2020. WWE has dropped the Survivor Series weekend TakeOver event for this year.
NXT has already held three NXT TakeOver events this year- TakeOver: Portland on 16 February, TakeOver: In Your House on 7 June, and TakeOver: 30 on 22 August 2020. NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool aired on 12 January this year, while NXT vs NXT UK: Worlds Collide took place on 25 January 2020.
Another NXT UK TakeOver is currently scheduled for 25 October but is yet to be confirmed by WWE. That show was earlier scheduled for 26 April but was postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
