Sheamus vs Sikoa & Ronda vs Raquel Added to December 30 SmackDown
A title match and another singles match are added to WWE SmackDown episode of December 30, 2022.
Raquel Rodriguez won #1 contender Gauntlet match this week on SmackDown which also involved Sonya Deville, Emma, Xia Li, Liv Morgan, and Shayna Baszler. Raquel eliminated Deville, Li and Morgan from the match. She will now challenge SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey next week on SmackDown.
Ronda has defended the title successfully against Raquel once before in the Summer of this year during her first title reign. Recently, Ronda and Shayna are feuding with Raquel and Shotzi, and have even injured Raquel’s elbow.
A rematch between Solo Sikoa and Sheamus is also set for next week in a regular singles match. This will be part of the ongoing rivalry between The Bloodline and the Brawling Brutes. Sikoa previously defeated Sheamus after some interference from The Usos and Sami Zayn, and even followed up with a post-match attack which left Sheamus injured in storyline.
The previously announced tag team match between Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens and John Cena would serve as the main event of next week’s SmackDown. This will be John Cena’s only match of 2022.
Lacey Evans is also announced to return next after weeks of vignettes for her new character. WWE SmackDown card for December 30 has below matches and segments announced till now:
