Jay White vs Kazuchika Okada to Headline NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17
The headliner bout for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4 is set.
It has been officially announced that the Switchblade Jay White will defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against the G1 Climax winner Kazuchika Okada in the main event of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17.
The bout was made official during the closing segment of the NJPW Declaration of Power. White defeated Tama Tonga in the main event and was cutting a promo when he was interrupted by Kazuchika Okada.
Two of the greatest NJPW wrestlers stood across from each other when it was announced that they would headline the NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4 at the Tokyo Dome.
The Switchblade currently holds four victories over the Rainmaker whereas the latter only defeated him once. Out of these four wins, one came at the Tokyo Dome back in 2013.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Okada become the champion once again or will Jay White continue to dominate NJPW.
