Jon Moxley faces Joey Janela in debut AEW match at Fyter Fest
Jon Moxley will face Joey Janela in his debut match slated at Fyter Fest next month.
Joey Janela and Moxley had a small segment in a recent episode of Being The Elite. AEW is building on it when they announced that Janela will be Moxley’s debut opponent for the upcoming Fyter Fest event. You can see the clip below.
Formerly known as Dean Ambrose in WWE, Moxley left WWE last month after not resigning with the company. Moxley appeared at AEW Double or Nothing and laid out Chris Jericho after he won the match against Kenny Omega. He also got into a brawl with Omega but ultimately took him down too.
AEW later announced that Moxley is signed with them for a multiyear deal and will work for them exclusively in the domestic market. He will be making Indie and International appearances when his schedule would permit. Before Fyter Fest, Moxley will debut with NJPW on 5 June where he will face Juice Robinson for IWGP US Heavyweight Championship.
Fyter Fest is a combined event from AEW and CEO Gaming and will take place on Saturday, 29 June at Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. It will air live on Bleacher Report Live at 8 pm ET. Tickets will go on sale this Wednesday at 12 noon ET. AEW also announced the match between Cody Rhodes and Derby Alin for the event apart from previously announced matches.
