Crews vs Hayes 2-Out-3 Falls Set for NXT Vengeance Day 2023
Apollo Crews and Carmelo Hayes are set to face off in a 2-out-of-3 falls match at WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2023 event.
Crews and Hayes previously clashed in a singles match coming out of NXT Deadline last month. Hayes was able to get a win thanks to an assist from Trick Williams in his corner.
This was followed up by Hayes attempting to rewrite Crews’ vision and setting up a tag team match. Crews partnered Axiom to take on Hayes and Williams. In the tag team match, Crews was able to pin Hayes by pinning his shoulders to the mat with some pressure from his knees.
This week on NXT, Apollo Crews went to the barbershop where Carmelo Hayes usually goes. Hayes was upset Crews sitting in his chair. An argument ensued before they both sit down to talk. Hayes said Crews’ win over him was a fluke. Crews then responded by challenging him for a 2-out-of-3 falls match, which Hayes promptly agreed to.
NXT Vengeance Day 2023 is set for February 4, 2023, at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC. NXT Championship Steel Cage Match, a women’s championship triple threat match, a 4-way tag team match for NXT Tag Team Championship and much more is already announced for the show.
