NXT Tag Team Title Match Added to WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2023
A triple threat match for NXT Tag Team Championship is added to WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2023 between New Day, Gallus and Pretty Deadly.
New Day came to NXT before NXT Deadline 2022 event. They challenged Pretty Deadly for NXT Championship and won the title from them at Deadline. Pretty Deadly have been trying to get a rematch against New Day ever since but New Day kept presenting them with tasks to complete to earn the title shot.
Fed up with these tasks, Pretty Deadly decided to run a Gauntlet and asked New Day to give them a title shot if they win. Gallus attacked Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen to take their place in the Gauntlet match and defeated Pretty Deadly at New Year’s Evil.
This week at NXT, New Day came out and said that they will defend the titles against Gallus next. Pretty Deadly protested on Gallus being given a title shot. Gallus also came out to interrupt these two teams, leading to a brawl between all three teams.
WWE later announced that NXT Tag Team Championship will be defended at Vengeance Day with all three teams involved in the match. This is the fourth match to be confirmed for the show.
NXT Championship Steel Cage match, a triple threat match for NXT Women’s Championship and a singles match for North American title were already announced for the show. Vengeance Day 2023 will take place on February 4, 2023, in Charlotte, NC.
