Alexa Bliss removed from MITB Ladder Match
Alexa Bliss is removed from the Money in the Bank(MITB) Ladder match after not being cleared from the medical team.
Alexa Bliss has been suffering from concussion related issue since October last year when she was removed from a tag team match at WWE Evolution show. She took some time off to recuperate from various niggles and even after coming back, she has mostly worked in a non-wrestling role. She participated in Royal Rumble match earlier this year and only a few other matches.
Her last match was against Naomi at RAW a few weeks ago just after she announced herself for the Money in the Bank match. This week again, she was replaced by Nikki Cross in a fatal 4-way promotional match for Money in the Bank. While the switch was earlier attributed to luggage issues, it has now become clear that Bliss is still carrying some sort of injury.
WWE released the news over their website and social media handles. The press release reads: Alexa Bliss is not medically cleared to compete at WWE Money in the Bank this Sunday, and has been removed from the Women’s MITB Ladder Match. A suitable replacement for Alexa will be announced.
It is highly expected that Nikki Cross might again replace her for the match. But after some positive reports coming regarding Sasha Banks, it might entirely be possible that she could make a comeback at the show.
