AEW Dynamite March 1, 2023, Match Card & Preview
AEW will present the Revolution 2023 go-home edition of Dynamite on March 1, 2023, featuring two title matches along with the Face of the Revolution ladder match.
Orange Cassidy will defend his AEW All-Atlantic title against The Firm’s Big Bill, whereas Hook will put his FTW championship on the line against Matt Hardy. Toni Storm will face Riho, whereas Chris Jericho will collide against Peter Avalon. Bryan Danielson will come face-to-face against AEW World Champion MJF. Face of the Revolution Ladder Match
Last week on Rampage, it was announced that the last Dynamite before AEW Revolution 2023 would feature the Face of the Revolution ladder match. Ortiz, Konosuke Takeshita, Sammy Guevara, Powerhouse Hobbs, Action Andretti, Eddie Kingston, and Komander were announced as participants. The winner will earn an opportunity to face the AEW TNT Champion.
Hook vs Matt Hardy
Hook was scheduled to defend his FTW title against the opponent of Stokely Hathaway’s choosing. Initially, it seemed like Hathaway wanted to choose Ethan Page when All Ego revealed that Hook’s next opponent would be Matt Hardy. Will Hook retain his title? Or will Matt Hardy change his fate with his Twist of Fate?
Orange Cassidy vs Big Bill
The Firm’s Big Bill will be next in line to challenge Orange Cassidy for the AEW All-Atlantic title. On last week’s episode of Rampage, Lee Moriarty, Big Bill, and The Gunns attacked Best Friends. After that, it was announced Orange Cassidy would defend his title against Big Bill. Will the Powerhouse be able to become the new All-Atlantic Champion?
Toni Storm vs Riho
Two former AEW women’s champions will collide as Toni Storm faces the returning Riho in a singles match. Riho hasn’t wrestled since the October 26 Dynamite. Her last match was against Jamie Hayter which ended in a losing effort for her. Will Riho suffer from ring rust, or will she make a winning comeback?
Chris Jericho vs Peter Avalon
On the February 22 episode of Dynamite, Chris Jericho dropped Peter Avalon with the Judas Effect when he tried to answer to Ricky Starks’ open challenge for Revolution 2023. As a result, a match between Chris Jericho and Peter Avalon was booked for this Wednesday. Will Chris Jericho gain some momentum before his match against Ricky Starks at Revolution?
Casino Tag Team Battle Royale
AEW announced that The Gunn Club would defend the AEW tag team titles in a triple-threat match. The Acclaimed exercised their rematch clause and made it a fatal-4-way match. Jay Lethal & Jeff Jarrett won the battle royal on the Feb 22 episode of Dynamite, and now the final team of this match will be determined with a casino tag team battle royal this Wednesday.
MJF & Bryan Danielson Face-to-Face
Bryan Danielson is set to challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship in a 60-minute ironman match at AEW Revolution 2023. But, before these two destroy each other on March 5, they will come face-to-face for the one last time this Wednesday on Dynamite.
