AEW Collision June 24: CM Punk, Tanahashi, Andrade & More Announced

AEW has officially announced four matches and two segments for the AEW Collision June 21, 2023 episode featuring CM Punk, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Andrade, and Owen Hart Cup matches.

During the June 21 episode of AEW Dynamite, The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn) faced The Hardys. During the match, Jay White and Juice Robinson made interference which resulted in The Hardys losing the match. Following the match, The Gunns, White, and Robinson launched an attack on Hardys. In response CM Punk, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), and Ricky Starks came to aid the Hardys.

After that CM Punk officially announced that there will be an eight-man tag team match at AEW Collision where CMFTR and Starks will face Bullet Club Gold and The Gunns.

Swerve Strickland will go one on one with Hiroshi Tanahashi. Tanahashi will be competing for the first time on AEW Television. Hiroshi Tanahashi is also set to face MJF for AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door PPV event.

Andrade will be seen in action once again on Collisoin as faces House of Black’s Brody King. In the debut episode of AEW Collision last week, Andrade defeated another member of the House of Black in Buddy Mathews.

Nyla Rose will also face Willow Nightingale in the first round for the Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament. The first Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament match was scheduled for AEW Rampage where Anna Jay faced Sky Blue.

Christian Cage will address the fans about the TNT Championship. Luchasaurus defeated Wardlow in the debut episode of AEW Collision to win TNT title with the help of Christian Cage.

Darby Allin and Sting will also announce their third member for the match at the Forbidden Door PPV event. Darby and Sting will face Chris Jericho, Minoru Suzuki, and Sammy Guevara in a six-man tag team match at that event.

The June 24 episode of AEW Collision will be live from Scotiabank Arena, Toronto, ON, Canada, just one day before Forbidden Door PPV. The complete lineup for the match is below:

  • Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Swerve Strickland
  • CM Punk, FTR & Ricky Starks vs Jay White, Juice Robinson & The Gunns
  • Brody King vs Andrade
  • Willow Nightingale vs Nyla Rose – Round 1 match from Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament
  • Christian Cage will address TNT title
  • Sting/Darby Allin to reveal their partner for Forbidden Door
