UFC Vegas 67 or Fight Night 217 event came around with Sean Strickland vs Nassourdine Imavov as the headliner.
Sean Strickland closed UFC in 2022 as he headlined UFC Vegas 67 with a controversial split decision that went against him when he faced Jared Cannonier. That was his second loss in a row after he lost to Alex Periera at UFC 276. Strickland was then brought in to headline the first UFC event of 2023 as a short-notice replacement for Kevin Gastelum.
Nassourdine Imavov came into the bout as the #12 ranked middleweight and on a 3-fight winning streak. He was last active to defeat Joaquin Buckley via a unanimous decision at UFC Paris. He previously defeated Ian Heinisch and Edmen Shahbazyan in UFC 268.
The co-main event saw Dan Ige and Damon Jackson clashing in a featherweight bout. Ketlen Vieira vs Raquel Pennington and Umar Nurmagomedov vs Raoni Barcelos were the other bouts on the main card.
