UFC Nashville: Sean Woodson Gets Debutant Mairon Santos as Replacement
Sean Woodson will remain on UFC Nashville card as he gets a replacement opponent in Mairon Santos.
Eurosport’s Marcel Dorff reported that Mairon Santos has signed with UFC and he will debut against Sean Woodson at UFC Nashville this Saturday in a featherweight bout.
Woodson was originally supposed to face Steve Garcia at UFC Nashville, but Garcia pulled out of the bout. Jesse Buttler was brought in as the replacement, but he also pulled out earlier today due to protocol involving the knockout he suffered against Jim Miller at UFC Vegas 74.

Woodson is a signing from Dana White Contender Series 2019 where he beat Terrence McKinney. He is 3-1-1 in UFC so far, and is unbeaten in his last 3 bouts. His last bout was against Luis Saldaña at UFC 278 which ended in a split draw.
UFC Nashville is set to take place on August 5, 2023, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. Rob Font came in as a late replacement to face Cory Sandhagen in the headliner bout of the event.
