Loma Lookboonmee vs Elise Reed Moved to UFC 284
Loma Lookboonmee vs Elise Reed bout has a new date but it will still be closer to Lookboonmee’s home.
Marcel Dorff of Eurosport Netherland is reporting the bout is moved to UFC 284 PPV event. Lookboonmee and Reed were earlier scheduled to clash UFC Seoul Fight Night event on February 4, 2023. Later, the event was moved from Seoul to UFC Apex Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
Thailand’s Lookboonmee, who has fought either in Asia or at UFC Apex Arena, was booked as an Asian attraction on UFC Seoul card. The bout might be shifted to UFC 284 due to same reason.
UFC 284 will take place in Perth, Australia, on February 11, 2023. The event will be headlined by Australia’s own Alexander Volkanowski as he challenges UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev. The event just lost Robert Whittaker vs Paulo Costa fight due to Costa’s pay dispute with UFC.
This bout is going to be Lookboonmee’s first fight under a new deal with UFC. She was last active in September this year when she defeated Denise Gomes at a Fight Night event. She is 4-2 in UFC currently with 6-3 record overall.
Elise Reed was also last seen inside the octogan in September as she defeated Melissa Martinez at UFC 279 to take her record to 2-2 in UFC since singing in 2021.
