Youtuber and Boxer Jake Paul is now turning to MMA as he signs a deal with PFL.

Paul has announced a multi-fight deal with PFL to fight on PPV events. He will fight in a new division called Super Fight division.

“I’ve already disrupted boxing, and now it’s time to disrupt MMA,” Paul told New York Times. “I know this is such a tough sport, and it’s not going to be easy, but if I could do it in boxing, I could do it in MMA.”

New York Times first reported the news for Paul’s signing with PFL. The report also provided details for the new Super Fight division. Under this division, fighters are expected to earn at least 50 percent of the pay-per-view revenue which is expected to be distributed by both ESPN and DAZN streaming.

However, Paul’s first fight is not expected to take place this year as per PFL Chairman Donn Davis, who told ESPN it will take Paul upto a year to get ready for one year.

Paul has been a huge advocate of an increase in fighter pay in MMA and has taken shots at Dana White constantly. He also proposed starting a fighter’s union for the same cause.

Jake Paul has been part of 6 boxing bouts in the last 3 years. He has wins over former MMA fighters Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva. He is next expected to face Tommy Fury. A feud with former UFC Star Nate Diaz is also ongoing which might lead to MMA bout.
