Another Australian is likely added to UFC 284 PPV as Jack Della Maddalena faces veteran Randy Brown.

The news comes from Eurosport’s Marcel Dorff who said the welterweight bout is finalized by UFC. The report also added that Brown himself first revealed that the bout is in work for the card in Perth, Australia.

Jack Della Maddalena enters the bout with 3 wins in UFC since coming through Dana White Contender Series in 2021. He defeated Ange Loosa in his DWCS bout. JDM defeated Pete Rodriguez, Ramazan Emeev and Danny Roberts via first-round TKO stoppages.

In fact, he remains undefeated since his first two MMA bouts in 2016 with 13 wins in a row. Prior to UFC, Maddalena spent most of his career in Eternal MMA, winning the promotion’s welterweight title and successfully defending it 4 times. He also had one appearance for Cage Warriors in 2017.

Randy Brown is with UFC since 2016 and holds a 10-4 record under the promotion(16-4 overall). Brown remains undefeated since the start of 2021 with 4 wins in a row.

This runs started with a submission win over Alex Oliveira at UFC 261. He got a unanimous decision win over Jared Gooden at a Fight Night event in October 2021 before getting a split decision in his favor against Khaos Williams at UFC 274. He most recently got another unanimous decision win over Francisco Trinaldo in October 2022.

UFC 284 will take place in Perth, Australia on February 12, 2023, as per local time and on February 11 in North America. Australia’s Alexander Volkanovski will challenge Islam Makhachev for UFC Lightweight title.
