Geoff Neal & Omar Morales Out, Nick Fiore Faces Mateusz Rębecki at UFC Vegas 67
Two changes for UFC Vegas 67 card were revealed on Thursday.
Geoff Neal is out of his fight against Shavkat Rakhmonov due to an undisclosed injury. Reporter Igor Lazorin revealed the news first on Instagram.
Rakhmonov posted the confirmation on Twitter saying, “Apparently, Neal is all talk.” Neal responded to this via Twitter, saying that he is looking to rebook the bout.
Shavkat Rakhmonov is currently undefeated in MMA in 16 fights and has 4 wins in UFC. His latest win came against Neil Magny at Fight Night in June this year.
In another change at UFC Vegas 67, Mateusz Rębecki will now face another debutant in Nick Fiore. The news came from Rębecki’s management. He was signed through Dana White Contender Series after beating Rodrigo Lídio.
Rębecki was earlier scheduled to face Omar Morales. The reason for Morales’ withdrawal remains unclear. Fiore has previously appeared in Combat Zone MMA 5 times and remains undefeated in 6 pro MMA bouts.
UFC Fight Night: Gastelum vs Imavov or UFC Vegas 67 will be the first UFC event of 2023 on January 14. A middleweight fight between Kevin Gastelum and Nassourdine Imavov will headline the event.
